Harry wiped the sweat from his brow, still wired from the crowd's energy. They were screaming for a second encore, even though the boys had continued their set for thirty minutes longer than usual. However, they finally had to stop in order to have enough time for a meet-and-greet backstage.

"You really killed it tonight," Niall said, clapping Harry on the shoulder. "Your high notes in 'Drag me Down' were impeccable."

Harry grinned and accepted the praise from the boys. "I don't know what came over me. I guess my cords were just feeling it tonight."

He knew, however, that there had been something different. During his opening of "Gotta be You", Harry eyes had swept across the crowd as always, trying to make a connection with each and every one of the robots there. But he had suddenly found himself, as if by a magnetic force, drawn towards a beautiful drop of cobalt in the colorless silver ocean. The robot had looked stunned by the music, swaying trance-like to the song. Throughout the concert, Harry couldn't help but seek out the blue robot and lock eyes on him.

Oh, well. He was one in a city of millions, and Harry was unlikely to see him ever again.

"Wash up for the fans, lads," their manager shouted, "You're on in fifteen." He shooed the boys down the hall into the dressing rooms.

In a jiffy, Harry was ready. He had changed from his stage clothes into a comfortable, dark green flannel and blue skinny jeans. He swapped his Air Jordans for white Converse All-Stars and donned a soft beanie to cover his wavy tresses.

The others were already in the meet-and-greet room when he arrived, looking weary. Though they all smiled, took pictures, and signed posters without complaint every night, they were tired. The war had taken so much from them—their families, friends, and homes outside the band. Due to the UK being reduced to a nuclear wasteland, the boys had nowhere to return to. They had been perpetually on tour for years and would continue to be until their dying breaths.

A screaming gaggle of robots rushed into the room, knocking each other over in the scramble to reach the boys. Zayn, Niall, Liam, and Harry exchanged knowing looks. Keep your eyes peeled, they told each other wordlessly.

Harry put on his most winning smile and embraced the girl closest to him.
