A Big Change (Sonadow)

Chapter 14

Narrator POV.

"Give me a few seconds!" And he ran upstairs. A few seconds later he came back with Sonic behind him. "Why is the pink brat laying unconscious on my floor?" Shadow said, ticked of by all the damage done to his home. "She came in here completely nuts screaming she was 'going to kill both Shadow and the baby because Sonic is mine' and started destroying everything. It took me a few minutes to catch her and when I got her I needed to knock her out because she was trying to stab me with a knife..." Knuckles said. Shadow looked at him with wide eyes. "I already called GUN to come and get her... I didn't think she'd flip like this, but I don't want her walking around free when she's a danger to my child." Sonic said looking a bit stressed. Shadow walked to him and hugged him. "Everything will be fine, I will always protect you and the baby. You are the most important people in my life, and I'm not letting anyone hurt the both of you." "Aww, Shad!" Sonic snuggled into Shadow's chest. Knuckles chuckled. "I have never seen you two like this, it's kind of funny actually. I have only ever seen you fighting and now you're acting like a married couple." Shadow and Sonic blushed and couldn't help but smile.

A few months later... (Half way through Sonic's pregnancy)

Shadow POV.

Sonic and I were laying on the couch snuggling each other, when my communicator went off. "What the-, hello?" "Shadow, I know this sounds suspicious but I want to invite you and Sonic to my lair just to talk." "And why should we trust you?" "Have I attacked you in the last couple of months?" "... No, I guess not..." "Please come by, I just want to talk." "Alright fine, we'll be there..." "See you around... Six?" "That's fine, see you then." I said and hung up. "Was that Eggman? Why would he want to talk to us?" Sonic asked me. "I don't know, but if he wants to buy our child I'll stab him." Sonic laughed a bit at that. "I'm sure it will be fine Shad." "If you say so..."

Later when the hedgehogs arrived at Eggman's Lair...

Sonic POV.

Shad and I arrived at Egghead's lair and rang the doorbell. A few seconds he opened the door quite happy. "Hello! Come in!" He said, we followed him inside into the living room where we sat down on the couch. I groaned a little. "Are you alright?" Eggman asked me. "Sorry, it's just that my belly is getting in the way of moving..." "I can grab you a pillow or blanket if you want?" "I'm fine, thank you..." Why is he being so nice all of a sudden. He began talking. "First of, thank you for coming. I have exciting news! Remember how I found an unknown Island in the ocean a few years ago?" What Island? "Yes" Shadow said. Can somebody tell me what Island? "They decided that because I discovered it, it is now my island. So now I can fulfill my dream of building my own theme park!" He looked genuinely happy. "Congratulations doctor. But what has that to do with us?" Shadow asked. "I just wanted to let you know that I will now retire as a villain and ask you if you would let me be the baby's grandpa?" Shadow and I looked at him surprised. "You want to be a grandpa?" "Well, I went to a doctor and found out I will never be able to start my own family so. And you are my family Shadow. I'm just so lonely, please..?"
