And that's where it stopped, now I knew what to do with me and y/n, and I had to tell her urgently so she could pack her things again. Cause it's about time we paid Asgard another visit.

Y/N'S POV

I was in Bruce's lab, he needed me for something he said, I could use some distraction to be honest as I was searching for almost 3 hours with Loki in the library. I was waiting for him to come back in because he had to go to the toilet. While waiting I looked around, with my one foot impatiently tapping on the floor. The door opened when Bruce came back and closed with a bang. He looked at me with his standard facial expression, a bit anxious but very knowing.

"Y/n to be honest, I just wanted to talk to you for a second." He said as he quietly stepped up to me, "I need to tell you something about Loki." Of course, I should have known. That's about all the Avengers can talk to me about. I crossed my arms and signaled that he could go on. "Well, I have no right to hold you back with anything that's going on between you two. But last time he was on Earth, he killed 80 people in two days." I was shocked, I knew he'd done things wrong, but I didn't expect anything like that. "Bruce I gotta go, thanks-" he stopped me by putting a hand on my shoulder: "Y/n, I wasn't finished," I turned around and he continued, "It wasn't entirely his fault, I'm almost sure he was under mind control by greater forces. What I also see is that he wants to change, I have enough human knowledge to notice that. He has been with us for a long time now and apart from some stupid jokes that might as well have been Tony's, he hasn't been looking for a problem. I've fought both beside and against him, he saved the people of Asgard, he fought against Thanos with us. The reason I brought you here was to inform you, but also to tell you he's okay. He's not a danger anymore."

You can't help but believe people like Bruce, they have no reason to lie. It wasn't just Bruce I had to believe but also Loki, and I did, I believed he didn't do it all by himself. He may seem a bit of a troublemaker, but not in those extraordinary ways. "Bruce I thank you, I really should go now."

When I arrived back in the library I saw Loki sitting in a corner, completely surrounded by books. "Hey horns, found anything?" When he got rid of the book that was in his nose, I saw the tears forming in his eyes. "So he told you, Bruce." He didn't dare look at me, but still I saw all the pain and sorrow. I put a few books aside and placed myself next to him, "Loki, it's okay. You couldn't help it." When I wanted to put my head on his shoulder he gently pushed me away: "It's better that you don't know who I really am, maybe New York wasn't entirely my fault, but there's no escape from my real cold identity".

"What do you mean, cold?" I asked as I tried to comfort him again, this time by wiping away his tears with my thumbs. Finally, he looked at me again, "I can't tell you yet, I don't know if I can ever." More and more tears started to form, I took his head and put it on my chest, "Heyyy, it's really okay, you don't have to tell me." I heard light sobbing as he dug his head deeper into the side of my neck. I stroked his pointy raven hair and gave it a comforting kiss. After a few minutes he started again:" I know where we can find an answer."

He looked up and a sincere smile formed on his face when he remembered: "We must go to Asgard, the answer lies there. Get your things, we'd better go as soon as possible." He got up in a hurry as if it couldn't go fast enough, "But I have to tell my father first, and by the way, how can you be so sure? What happened while I was gone?" I stood up too, I quickly picked up all the books that were lying on the floor and put them back in their right place.

"I saw some kind of vision, Odin put his spirit in my mind. It also happened to Thor once, when he was hopeless. So I think he wanted to help me, that's why I believe it. He said we should go to Asgard, not with those words, but it was pretty clear what he meant. I'm going to Thor now, I want to talk to him about this," he said while he was helping me with the books, he put his hand quickly on my jaw, "In the meantime you can call your father and so on" he gave me a quick hug and left.
