I tried to process what I'd seen. I couldn't.

Murphy had forgiven me. Why not Conner?

Perhaps because Connor had tied up his hands and kicked him down a steep hill. That meant a few others were also going to die.

I couldn't sit still any longer. I tried to talk to Clarke, but a fire broke out in the smoke shack, destroying all the food.

"It was probably him!" Murphy accused, pointing at a boy called Dal, "He was adding so much wood to the fire-"

"Murphy, calm down," Bellamy said, "Octavia?"

His sister nodded slightly, and Dal protested, "I didn't-"

"That doesn't matter," Clarke announced, "We have no food. Everyone in the dropship. Teams of three to four people. Take spears and guns."

"The guns are only for the grounders," Bellamy warned, "We don't have enough bullets, so use the spears for food."

Everyone split into teams. A kid called Myles joined with Clarke and Finn. I glanced over to see a very annoyed Raven Reyes, glaring at Finn.

I joined a team with Harper, Monroe, and Sterling. The second two didn't really trust me, but they had no choice.

In our small section of the woods, there wasn't much. I shot a turkey looking thing, while Monroe managed to spear a couple of sparrows. She had really good aim. She'd make an excellent warrior.

Raven blowing up the bridge wouldn't keep the grounders away from us for long. She wouldn't have to wait long for a fight.

When we returned to camp, we found Myles on a stretcher, a spear in his chest.

"Where are Clarke and Finn?" I demanded as Harper, who hated the sight of blood, went to put the fresh kills in the new and 'improved' smoke shack for Octavia to skin.

"One group just found Myles like this," Bellamy said, "I think they could take you back to where they found him."

We both walked to where Fox's group claimed to have found Myles, and I saw what was wrong, "The tracks are fake."

"What?" Fox asked.

"They're too perfect," I said, "This was a trap to get Clarke and Finn. They must have tried to kill Myles as a witness."

Fox sighed, "Thank you for telling us that before my group followed the tracks."

"Sorry," I silently scolded myself, "But if Anya wanted them dead, they'd be dead."

"So they need Clarke and Finn," Bellamy said on the way back to camp, "Either as a hostage, or-"

It hit me like a bolt of lightning, "Or as a doctor. Some of Anya's grounders might have gotten injured in the blast from the bridge."

"Why Finn?"

"To use him against Clarke?" I suggested. It was the most likely possibility. If Anya had once operated under Indra's command, she'd just kill the leaders instead of holding them hostage.

We sat, wondering what to do, "Clarke's also the only one who can heal Myles."

"You say you know basic healing to help yourself on a battlefield, that everyone gets that training?" Bellamy asked.

"On a battlefield, you try not to get speared in the first place," I said, "There's only one other person- two actually- that can help him."

Octavia walked in, "I'll grab Lincoln."

"I don't know if he can help," I said, "The only other option is Nyko, but he lives deep in Indra's territory. Any of us would be killed on sight."
