My feet where dragging against the concrete road as I walked to the chateau. I wasn't in the mood to hear John B and JJ bickering about girls. 

I arrived at the house to see JJ and John B chatting as they came out of the front door, they noticed me walking up the driveway and waved. I had put on some makeup to hide the cuts and bruises.

As I slowly walked up to the van I looked down at my feet. JJ was walking towards me wrapping an arm around my shoulder. I pushed it off leaving him with a sad expression. I walked to the van and sat in the back with my arms crossed.

They where talking about Kiara and how she apparently 'liked' John B. I stayed quiet looking out of the small window suddenly realising I didn't even know why they had to go to Miss Lana's. 

As I focused on what they were saying I hear John B shout back at JJ, ''Yeah? Well what about you and Lily?'' JJ shot me a look before looking back at John B, ''Dude, what?''

''Don't act like you didn't kiss her at the kegger.'' JJ's cheeks went a light pink colour. 

I finally speak trying to break the awkwardness, ''So why are we going to Miss Lana's again?''

''We're going so that we can figure out why Scooter had my fathers compass.'' 

I nodded slightly leaning back into my car seat.

We pulled up to a small, colourful house. John B opened the door on the back on the van. JJ put out his hand and helped me out. I let out a small grin as we walked up.

JJ turns to John B, ''Know what this looks like? Whoever lives here smokes too much weed.'' 

I let out a chuckle making him turn to me and smile, ''Glad you're not in a shitty mood anymore.'' I look at him squinting my eyes before we heard glass shattering and screams coming from the house.

John B continued to walk up to the house as JJ and I stood back, ''John B do you really think this is a good idea?'' I whispered. But loud enough for him to hear.

''Lily, shut- shut up. Come on.'' He said motioning his hand around behind him. We heard threatening words coming from inside the house.

We scaled the walls before coming to a window making us crouch. I was shaking from fear. JJ noticed and intertwined his hands within mine. I looked at him, he gave me a reassuring smile as he shook slightly too. I tightened my grip on his hand as the window above us broke, letting out dried up paint all over us. 

One of the men's voices was heard saying, ''The compass wasn't in the boat!'' I looked at John B with wide eyes.

He put one finger over his mouth telling me to be quiet as I was letting out heavy breaths. JJ covered my mouth telling me not to listen. 

John B got up and walked around to the corner of the house peaking his head around it, JJ and I followed behind him. Our hands still intertwined.

The two men got into their both as John B and JJ looked at them, ''Dude, those were the guys that shot at us.'' I looked at JJ, shocked at what I had heard. We heard the woman sobbing through the broken window above us.

As soon as the men had left we ran into the house. I let go of JJ's hand to comfort the woman. I wrapped my hand around her shoulder and John B tried to get her to talk about the compass.

''You can't tell anyone you have that!'' She started hyperventilating causing me to lose my grip on her. I stood up and walked to the doorway where JJ was standing. 

JJ grabbed John B's arm, ''We gotta go. Let's go.'' The woman started screaming telling us to leave. I walked out, concerned at the state of the woman. I felt bad leaving her. 

I got into the van first. I saw John B give JJ a look telling him to comfort me. He got into the back with me, putting his arm around me. I rested my head on his shoulder letting out shaky words, ''I- i hate seeing people like that.'' He pulled me closer to him leaning his head on mine.

''Could you drop me home?'' John B looked back quickly nodding, ''Yeah, sure totally.'' I smiled as I just rested my head comfortably on JJ's shoulder.

We arrived at my house. JJ looked out of the window, ''Shit, that's a huge ass house.'' I laughed slightly, ''I hate it here.'' I sat up and stretched, ''Thanks for the interesting day.'' JJ smirked as I walked up the long path to the large white house. I walked in the front door, knowing my father wouldn't be home.

The maid walked up to me, ''Hello, Miss Evans. You have a visitor in your room.'' I jumped, forgetting she was at the house sometimes, ''Monica, how many times have I told you? You can call me Lily!'' She nodded peacefully as she walked over to the kitchen to clean.

It was Sarah, ''Shit, Lily! Where have you been? And why did Rafe of all people tell me you were with JJ?!'' I looked at her and sniggered, ''Don't worry I was with JJ and his friends.'' She looked pissed, ''You were with Kiara?'' I nodded. She knew me and Kiara where never on bad terms.

She looked hurt and stormed out of the room, ''Wait, Sarah!-'' I sighed. I looked around my room before deciding I should catch up on assignments to past the time.

After 2 hours I finally finished my homework. I was bored again. I looked at the bikini that was on my bed. Swimming. I slipped on the baby pink bikini and walked downstairs.

It was still warm out so I tanned for a bit before jumping into the pool. I did some laps in the pool. I seen Monica walking out and calling my name, ''Miss- Lilly, you have a visitor. Shall I send them in?'' I nodded before diving underwater continuing my laps.

I heard a faded familiar voice calling me from under the water. I swam up pointing my head up so that my hair wouldn't be in my face. It was JJ, but he looked at me in a shocked expression. I tilted my head before realizing my makeup had come off in the water. I muttered, ''Oh shit..''

I swam over to the edge and pulled myself on the edge. I stood up slowly and faced him. He noticed all the bruises on my body, ''Are these new?'' I shook my head before he wrapped me in a hug he spoke quietly, ''I'm so sorry I didn't notice it earlier.'' I pulled away slightly, still having my arms around his neck, ''That's why I put makeup on. I didn't want you to.'' 

He pulled me back into the long hug. We stood there as the sun set. He was so calming. I couldn't let myself fall for him, not for another boy..
