Ukai (y/n) is captain of the kitagawa daiichi girls volleyball team. Together with the other 3th years, its going to be their last year with the team. They are planning to win against Shiratorizawa Academy Junior High. After all those years they never defeated them. They are planning to win but so does everyone ells.
Day of the finals
((y/n) pov)
We're on our way to the finals, and everyone is nervous because of Shiratorizawa, we've always lost to them by 2 points it's always a fight for the win. But I won't let them win this time.
"captain we're almost there" Katsu (meaning: victorious) said, it's my clue to do a speech for them and get them fired up.
"listen up!" I yelled, I've got everyone's attention. "today is the day we worked hard for, it's also the day were we are facing Shiratorizawa again. I know they're good but so are we, it's always a tough fight for the win. And this year that isn't going to change. But I know everyone in this team worked hard, we worked harder than most of the guys, let's try to win this and show them what we're made of!" "yeeeaahhh!!!" they yelled and I know they are fired up now.
When we arrived all eyes were on us. Our team gave of a deathly aura, that's because we're fired up. We got in the gym and saw our opponent.
We did our warm ups. After we lined up and thanked them for the game. The game is going to start any minute. We stood in front of our couch who said somethings we need to focus.
Then I had to say my captain stuff " we've come this far without nervousness breaking us or get to us and this match is not different. Keep your head cool and focus. Enjoy every second on the court. This is our last stop it's win or lose, but we played every game. This is our last game as a team, next year we third years are at high school. Now let them see what we've got. It's game on!!!" "let's goooooo!!!" Makaira (meaning: one who brings happiness) screamed "yeah! Let's go!" we all yelled.
Everyone puts there game face on and is ready.
We took the first set like always it was 25-19, but this time we didn't show them what we all have. We played just on 45% just to throw them of in the next set and then BAM!
The second set we just started the same as the first one, calm and not on our foul potential so still on 45%. Shiratorizawa began to speed up and began to go harder, but so did we. Our liberos trained a lot since last year so did our wing spikers, opposite, middle blocker and setters. We trained also for other positions so we can switch them up and the opponent wouldn't know how they played.
We also switched with everyone on the court so everyone had played. After switching things up we got to match point it's now 21-24. They are close to us so everything we do has an impact if we win or lose, it is in the details. I was up to serve, I did a jump float. It flew over the net and it went to their worst receiver, but it's a good school so she could still receive it but it went to the other side from their setter, so a wing spiker had to make a set. It wasn't the best set but the middle blocker did her approach and jumped and spiked the ball right in our block the ball fell right beside her on the ground.
We won.
After all those years we won there were tears in our eyes, we were so happy. We lined up and shook their hands and we thanked the public for coming. The ceremony is after the boy they're game. We had a speech from our couch "congrats, you girls did great. (y/n) it was a great idea for not giving your all direct in the game. And the rest of you girls you did great we won thanks to all of your hard work and playtime on the court. I'll give you food after the ceremony." After hearing that we all were more happy then before if that even was possible.
"thank you girls for being so hyped up for working harder and ready to get criticism, tips and tricks. You girls played good the whole tournament, you all got us closer to winning even if you were on the court for just couple of minutes. You gave us third years a beautiful end of the season and junior high. I was glad the other third years helped me out and I guess we are glad that we could help you. You are our precious kohais." I said as captain.
After the boys game
(team pov)
Everyone was waiting for getting the trophy and medals. Then a person with a microphone began to talk "dear ladies and gentlemen, our winners of this year's tournament are for the boys Shiratorizawa academy junior high, give them a warm applause." Sheering was heard from everywhere. Shiratorizawa's team got up and went to the podium and received the medals and then the trophy. Photos were taken for in the volleyball magazine.
"and then now for the girls from kitagawa daiichi an applause for their win against Shiratorizawa academy junior high girls team the 4time champions." Applause was also heard for our team. we got up and got the medals and the trophy. They also took photos of us.
((y/n) pov)
After the ceremony we went out of the gym I saw my dad waiting by the door together with some of his friends. He saw me and ran up to me and picked me up and hugged me while spinning around praising me and my team. "you girls did amazing we sure learned you a lot. And Hyper you were a great captain and your method worked so good I'm proud of all of you." My dad rambled. We also received a couple of compliments from his friends. "thanks dad, I didn't know you were watching."
"seriously, why wouldn't I be watching my sweet daughter play with the team we helped learn new things, Huh?"
"okay you got a good point there, thanks for coming"
"(y/n) we need to leave, or don't you want free food" Katsu said. My head just went up and I bid goodbye to my dad and his friends. And followed the team to the restaurant were we are going to eat.
Last day of junior high
(3th person pov)
The 3th years got their diploma for junior high. Today the volleyball club would chose the new captain which is given by the former captain and vice-captain.
While the 3th years are walking to the gym the rest of the team is waiting impatient to know who would be the new captain and vice-captain. Then the 3th years get inside the gym greeted by the team.
"everyone gather around!" Katsu the vice-captain told them. Couch didn't took part in this decision. "okay everyone, today is our last day together. And we will announce who we want to be captain and vice-captain. Katsu you can announce the vice-captain." Katsu nodded and started. "okay we talked with all the 3th years to know who we want to be (vice-) captain for next year. For vice-captain we think Kiko( meaning: hope) will be good, because she helps you all out with school and volleyball and she calms everyone down and breaks up fights. What do you say Kiko?" "I would love to and be able to help everyone out. Thank you." Katsu gives her the sweatband with vice-captain on it. "here you go Kiko"
"now for captain we were thinking about Nakano (meaning: famous female warrior), you leaded your team in the beginning from this year for a game and you did that great and how you handle things and all I think you're great for this job." I said, she then said "okay I'll take the job... only if everyone on the team agrees that I become captain." I stood there in wow this kid is just like me. I start smiling at that. "okay so does everybody agree that Nakano will be captain?" I asked and everybody agreed to her being captain. So I gave her the captain sweatband.
"euhm... what high school are you going to?" Mura asked.
"we are going to Karasuno, and show them that those crows can fly and are dangerous. So they better don't spot with us" Sunako (meaning: dark side) said while pointing to herself, with a dark aura around her.
"yeah, and hopefully we get them to nationals" Azumi (meaning: safe place) said.
They all said their goodbyes and hoped for the best.
