The Bonds We Share

Chapter 8

Naruto and Kiba nervously approached the restaurant holding hands. They were going to let their friends know their status. Naruto gave Kiba a quick kiss to calm him down before they went inside. They quickly found where they had reserved two large tables. They came over with smiles. Sakura was the first to notice the joined hands.

"Guys it's official," She cheered as she rushed to hug the two boys. Kiba blushed while Naruto smiled brightly. As they sat down their friends gave them blessings. Naruto even found out that Sakura was now dating Lee and Neji and TenTen made a couple too.

As the night wore on they began sharing stories of the academy days the pranks by Naruto were the best parts. The best one was when he painted the Hokage faces.  Then they asked Naruto what he encountered in his three months. So he begins his tale.

It was certainly one to remember as the blond flashed through so many emotions when he broke down how he caught the criminals and explained the power they held. Then he told them how he ended up destroying his Anbu gear on the S rank.

"He was just like that guy Lee fought when we were on that Sasuke rescue mission, but this time he could expand his bones like Chouji's expansion jutsu." Naruto recalled as he used his hands to make gestures. "His spine was wicked cool though even if it destroyed my back and ripped my neck," 

They gasped at the gruesome details. Naruto only smiled. "That's why half my face was covered I did that mission last and Kurama was taking long because I was poisoned by the bones, they were covered in something," 

"Glad you made it out safely Naruto," Lee cheered, Naruto raised a glass.

"To survival," He announced they raised their glasses to him. Kiba fell asleep on Naruto's chest as it approached later into the night. "Can I ask you guys something,"

They turned to Naruto curious as to what he would ask. "What's Kiba been up to since I left,"

"Well the morning after you left he was heading to the Hidden Cloud because you told him to do a favor, he didn't come back till after a month though," Shino started.

"Then his sister Hana began tutoring him on cooking, I overheard them when I was shopping for my mom," Ino mentioned a distant look. 

"Then he began some intense training, when I asked he said he was preparing for something like a big mission Tsunade told him he was to be expecting," Neji said thoughtfully.

"Then he came back just a week ago," Sai finished. "So that's it,"

"He's been super busy," TenTen hummed as she watched Kiba snore softly. Just then Hinata and Sasuke enter the restaurant. Naruto ignored them and held Kiba close to him. They came over to the table and looked at their previous lovers holding some one other than them. It filled them with rage.

Hinata looked as Naruto firmly ignored her opting to play in Kiba's hair. "Naruto-" She was cut off by a low growl. Naruto gave her a stern glare.

"Hyuga whatever your trying don't same for you Uchiha. Let's live in peace, leave us be." He turned back to his lover, Sasuke scoffed and leaned down to his once rival's face. 

"It's not my fault you couldn't fuck her," Sasuke sneered. Sakura gripped her hands powering chakra through it. "You had her and you left her untouched so I decided to touch her,"

Naruto laughed lowly. "Teme, unlike you I'm not looking for a pretty face. I didn't touch her because I wanted to prove the point that I wanted her not her body. But since she mistook that as me not wanting her you got to touch her. It's done Sasuke I've moved on."

"To become a faggot," He spat and was knocked in the face by a clawed hand. Naruto jumped in fright as he didn't even realize his boyfriend was awake. Kiba's fist hand blood on it, Hinata picked up Sasuke who had a busted his nose bleeding profusely. 

"Your one to talk you," The Inuzuka growled. "You pathetic excuse of a ninja, come near Naruto again and I'll tear your throats out," It wasn't a threat, it was a promise. 

Hinata looked at her former teammate and was jealous of him, he got what she had and more. Lady Hokage was right, seeing what she could've had instead of opening her legs was indeed a horrible punishment. "I'm sorry Naruto, so sorry." She left carrying Sasuke.

"They're to be married come Spring," Chouji said surprising them. "I overheard my Dad talking about it. Apparently Hinata's Dad approved of Naruto since we were kids when Hinata told him of her crush. So when she cheated on you Hiashi-sama said she was going to marry Sasuke."

"Is this true Neji," Naruto asked the Hyuga prodigy. Neji nodded pulling off his headband.

"That's not all in fact the consequence if she refused was being disowned." They stared at his forehead. "She took the marriage proposal and now since she's going to be a Uchiha and Hanabi is still too young and inexperienced I am next inline for being Clan Head." Neji's forehead which used to bear the curse mark of his clan was gone. 

"I'm happy for you, god knows you deserve it." Shikamaru congraulated as he slapped Neji on the back. Looks there was another reason to celebrate. When they were walking home Neji, Kiba and Naruto were going the same direction.

"Neji I'm happy for you, how does it feel to not live with that fear." Naruto asked placing a hand on his shoulder. Neji looked at Naruto with a bright smile.

"I feel free Naruto, you knocked sense into me all those years ago and now the burden has been completely lifted." Naruto hugged him as they came to a stop at his apartment. 

"I hope for many meetings with you when I become Hokage," 

"As always future Hokage-sama," Neji joked. Naruto shook his head.

"It's always going to be Naruto, Naruto Uzumaki."
