Gaffe was panicking.
His body wouldn't move, no matter how hard he tried. Sockets were wide yet unseeing. He couldn't hear the frantic instructions of the Creator or the manic laughs of the Destroyer.
He was terrified.
What does he do? What does he say? Just how damaged is this skeleton? Purple met red sockets, both seeming to be waiting for something, anything from the other. Error was just staring, his tall stature was slouched over, hands clutching the sides of his skull. A shaky smile had formed while pin-pricks seemed distraught and confused, distant... A pathetic sight it was. Yet Gaffe felt pity... He pitied this pathetic monster.
He shook away the thought. He doesn't want to grow attached, no matter how much Ink wants him to. The more he cares for this monster, the more his soul will break when Error eventually finds out the truth. He knew this whole thing will be revealed at some point, he can feel it. It doesn't matter how many times Ink reassures him.
Nothing stays hidden forever...
The thought saddened him. He wanted to say something, anything. But his mouth refused to form any words. Frustrated tears started to form at his sockets, his jaw was clenched. Why can't he say something?! Why is he crying?! This shouldn't be any different from the scenarios Ink provided him!
He thought back, furiously scanning through his memories with Ink for something, anything that will disperse the situation. He couldn't exactly rely on given information, since nothing was known about the Destroyers past. Then he remembered. The small but important pieces of info Error was screaming into his face.
"Do you know how long I looked for you?"
"Or what? You gonna leave me? Like last time?"
That's right! All he had to do was take that and turn it to his advantage.

The Destroyer was now mumbling to himself. Gaffe could barely hear what he was saying. His bone brows furrowed in concern. He had to snap him out of it, who knows what Error is saying to himself. He called out to him. "Sans." He didn't hear it at first, continuing to mutter non-sense. "Sans." He said, a little louder this time.
Discolored eye-lights were now directed towards him. This was good. He didn't lash out, so to him it was good. Error stayed silent, waiting for him to speak. Gaffe sighed internally, he hopes he doesn't die while attempting this. "Sans, listen to me..." He thought, fuck why didn't he think this though!
"Sans, I'm sorry..."
The Destroyer froze.

"Sans, I'm sorry..."
He froze. The infamous Destroyer of Au's froze. He couldn't move, he couldn't breath, he couldn't speak. An odd feeling of warmth made it's way into his mangled SOUL. It was new, different, soft. Error never exactly liked change, it scared him. But why did he like this?
