Busy King

"Rise and Shine boys" King Garrick said as he opens up the curtains in Axel and Hugo's bedroom.

Hugo and his brother, Axel sat up and said, "Goodmorning dad" he and Axel chorused.

"Hurry up you two, your sister is already in the dining room with your mother waiting for you" he said as he went to the door, "I'll meet you both at the dining room" he added as he left the two boys.

Axel got off his bed and stretched as he yawned.

"Hey baby bro, what do you like to wear today?" he asked his little brother.

"My usual suit of course" Hugo replied as he went to his closet to get his suit.

After they both got dressed, they both made their way to the dining room.

5 minutes later the two boys made it to the dining room where they saw their father and mother talking, and their little sister, who was already eating her breakfast.

Ally saw his brothers and said, "took you long enough" she said as she continued eating her pancakes.

Queen Samira saw her sons and said, "Goodmorning boys"

"Goodmorning mom" Axel and Hugo chorused.

King Garrick looked at his children and asked, "Are you kids, excited for the villagers ball tomorrow?"

"We sure are" the trio chorused.

Queen Samira turned to her husband and said, "Garrick, it's so nice of you to throw a party for everyone in town"

"And i'm looking forward to it already" King Garrick said as he ate his breakfast, "I don't know about the rest of you, but i'll just get something in my room".

He tried to get up only to get interrupted by their castle steward, Benedick.

"Excuse me your majesty, but we have quite a lot to do today and a few things need your immediate attention" he reminded the king.

King Garrick sat back down and said, "alright Benedick, go ahead".

"The new school house is finished, when should we open it?" the steward asked

"Tomorrow, and i'll be there myself for the opening" Garrick replied.

"Excellent, the new village playground needs new equipment" the steward said.

"swings, sea-saws and a dragon-shaped slide" Garrick replied with a smile.

"There aren't enough vegetables in the community garden to feed the villagers, what should we do?" The steward asked again.

"uh, plant more seeds and let Simon sprinkle them with magical grow fast powder, now if you don't mind, i'm going to get something in my room" Garrick told the steward but the steward stopped him.

"actually your majesty, we still have a few more things to take care of" the steward said.

"um...how many things actually?" Garrick asked the steward.

"Pardon me Queen Samira" he told Samira, and as she lifted up her plate, the steward rolled out the scroll which turned out to be a very long list of things that King Garrick needed to take care of.

Ally was shocked to see the long list, "woah, dad sure has a lot ti do today" she said as she continued eating her food.

"i know right" Hugo said

"He always has a lot to do today, he's the king" Axel told his younger siblings.

King Garrick just sighed as he placed his hand on his head.

"Looks like i'm in for another busy day" he said poorly.

"Indeed, now, what kind of cake would you like to have for the villager's ball?" the steward asked Garrick.

"Cake?! on top of everything else, i have to worry about cake?!" King Garrick said as he just leaned in his chair.

Ally really wanted to help her father with his kingly duties.

"We can do that for you dad" Ally told her father.

"Yeah!, afterall, since you have so much to do" Hugo added.

Garrick was happy that his children wanted to help him out so he said, "that would be great you two, Thank you" he said in relief.

The castle steward turned to Ally and Hugo and said, "just write down what kind of cake you want here on the order form and right after i will bring it to the village baker", he handed the order form to Ally.

"no problem" Ally and Hugo chorused as Ally took the order form from the steward.

The castle steward turned to Garrick and said, "now we must be off to the throne room your majesty, you're already late for your first appointment" he said as he made his way to the throne room.

Samira saw how stressed her husband looked so she just placed her hand on his shoulder to calm him down. King Garrick took a few breathes before he stood up.

"i'm on my way"Garrick sighed as he catched up with their castle steward to the throne room.

"And i'm going to the attic to find some decorations for the ball tomorrow" Queen Samira said as she left the table.

Hugo, Axel, and Ally were left on the table and the they're busy planning what cake they want.

"What kind of cake should we order?" Hugo asked.

"Well i vote for strawberry" Axel said.

"with lots of chocolate chips, and vanilla frosting" Ally added.

"How about a 10 layer cake" Axel suggested

"Well, we need a big cake for everyone, lets get it" Ally told Hugo who wrote down what cake they wanted.

"Done, i'm going to bring this to dad, we should try to help as much as we can today" Hugo said as he left the table.

Axel took his father's cupcake that he didn't even had a single bite.

"and i'm going to help dad finish his cupcake" Axel said as he ate the cupcake, Ally just rolled her eyes at her brother.

Meanwhile, Hugo was walking through the hallways when he saw his father with the castle steward and he couldn't resist catching up to his father.

"Dad, wait, here" hugo said as he handed the order form to his father.

"oh, a 10 layer cake! let me guess, it was Axel's idea?" Garrick asked Hugo.

"the one and only" hugo replied with a nod.

Garrick just smiled and said, "well, thanks for your help champ" he said as he continued walking down the hallways, but hugo tried to stop his father.

"Dad, i can help you more, all day if you want" hugo suggested.

King Garrick thought of it for a moment and said, "hmm, i'd love that" as he and Hugo continued heading to the throne room.

"Great, what are we going to do first?" Hugo asked his father as they both made their way to the throne room.
