Sofia The First: A Baker's Life

Uh Oh

it was another beautiful day in the kingdom of Welshire, the sun is rising, the birds are singing, and-

COCK-A-DOODLE-DOO!!!

the rooster's morning alarm woke Hugo up as he sat up in his bed and looked at the rooster who was just sitting in the window beside him.

Hugo looked around where he's at and saw his brother Axel at the other side of the room sleeping, "where am i?" Hugo asked himself.

just then saw that his little sister was sleeping next to him who was dreaming about cookies

"just one more cookie please" she said in her sleep.

Hugo tried to wake his sister up.

"lil sis, wake up" Hugo said as he shakes his little sister, Ally woke up and noticed that Hugo was next to her.

"Hugo, what are you doing in my room?" she asked hugo.

"Ally, this isn't your room" Hugo told her.

Ally sat up and looked around, "where are we?" she asked as she got off their bed and looked at the closet.

"and why is there only one dress in that closet?" she asked again then she noticed that her puppy, is not with her.

"and...where's Winter?!"Ally started to panic that she let out a scream.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

she screamed so loud that caused her parents to wake up.

"Ally?!" Garrick heard his daughter screaming that caused him to fell off his bed.

Garrick and Samira both rushed into their children's bedroom to see what's happening.

"is everyone alright?" Garrick asked his kids.

Just then Axel woke up and looked around and asked, "where are we?".

"and who's nightgown am i wearing?" Ally added.

"i don't know" Garrick said.

just then Samira looked outside and saw their castle from afar.

"look, there's the castle, we must be in the village" Samira said.

Garrick looked at the window and said, "that can't be, we all slept in the castle last night"

Just then they heard knocking which made them startled.

"Benedick, someone's at the door" Garrick shouted.

"um...i don't think Benedick's here" Hugo told his father.

"Okay, um, everyone...get dressed" Garrick said as he and Samira left their children to get dressed.

Ally took the clothing in the closet and looked at it.

"oh, i thought it's a dress, it's just an apron" she told her brother who just smiled.

As they all finished getting dressed, Garrick made his way down tk get the door, Hugo was right by the stairs and looked around.

"uh, this looks like a bakery" Hugo said to himself.

Garrick made his way to the door and opened it.

"uh, hello?" Garrick said.

"goodmorning everyone, two loafs of bread please" the man told Garrick who was confused.

"w-what?" Garrick asked.

The man looked at him and said, "two loafs of bread"

"why are you asking me?" Garrick asked him

"because you're the baker" then told Garrick.

Ally and Axel went down the stairs and saw what was happening. Garrick was shocked to what he just heard from the man and corrected him.

"no, i'm the king" Garrick told the man who laught right after Garrick said that he is the king.

"you're the king? hahaha, that's a good joke, everyone here in the village knows that you're the baker" the man told Garrick who was shocked.

"the baker?!" Garrick gasped

the man just chuckled and said, "what sense of humor you all guys have"

everyone looked at each other in confusion.

"now, can i have some bread now?" the man told Garrick

Hugo went to the counter to get two loafs of bread and then he gave it to the man.

"thanks kid" the man said as he payed Hugo and left the bakery still chuckling.

Just then Samira came down from the stairs and heard what happened and asked, "what is going on?"

"and why would that man think you're a baker dad?" Ally asked.

"i have no idea" Garrick said.

Just then Hugo remembered what his father said yesterday at the castle, "huh...i think i know, yesterday at the castle, dad wished he was a baker" he told everyone.

"i did? you're right Hugo, i did" Garrick said.

"well, it looks like you wish came true, but how?" Samira asked her husband

"i don't know, maybe some magic spell was cast on us" Garrick guessed.

"or maybe, Simon messed up one of his spells again" Hugo added.

"well then what are we waiting for" Axel said as he charged to the door, "lets go back to the castle and undo the spell before someone asks us to, bake something, oh no" he added.

Garrick went to Axel and said, "wait Axel, maybe this spell might not be such a bad thing, i mean we can look at it as a vacation" Garrick told his family.

"a vacation?" Ally and Hugo chorused.

Garrick looked at his family and said, "yeah, life in the castle is so busy and demanding, this is my chance to take a break from being king, all we have to do here is bake some bread, then we can relax and spend some time together".

Ally thought it was cute so she went to her father and said, "aww dad, i know it sounds good but, i used to live in the village and, i don't think being a baker is as easy as you think" she told him.

"what could possibly be hard than being kind?" he told his daughter before he turned to his family, "so, what do you say everyone?" he asked them.

"well, if that's what you want" Samira said

"i'll do it" Hugo smiled

"me too, i think it will be fun" Ally added

Axel think about it for a moment and sighed, "fine, i'm in" he said.

"thanks everyone, now lets do a little bakin and a lot of relaxing" Garrick told them

"but dad, we don't know how to bake" Hugo told his father

"don't worry, i can teach you" Ally said, "but only if we get some more flour, and milk and eggs" she added.

the whole family went to their yard to get what they need for baking.

what's the worst thing that could happen?...
