Sofia The First: A Baker's Life

It's Time

Hugo and Garrick made it to the bakery, they entered the shop that made Samira, Ally and Axel surprised to see them come in.

Garrick took a few breaths and said, "i have an announcement, i want to be king again" he told them

"Yes! finally!" Axel beamed

"aww, already?" Ally asked in disappointment

"i'm glad to hear it, but how can we undo the spell" Samira asked her husband.

"good question Samira, i don't know" Garrick said, "i don't even know what caused it" he added

"um...oh!...think back to when you made your wish, where were you and what were you doing" Samira asked him.

"Well, i was with Hugo in the castle, and i remembered talking about how life would be easy as a baker, but we were alone" Garrick told her.

Just then Hugo saw his reflection in the cookie jar and blurted out.

"no we're not, the mirror was there too" Hugo told them.

"of course" Garrick beamed

"what mirror?" Ally asked

Hugo turned to Ally and said, "the mirror mom found in the attic, dad made his wish in front of it, and right after i saw the mirror sparkle and shimmer" he told them.

"well that would certainly explain everything" Garrick said.

Samira looked at Garrick and said, "so to undo the spell, maybe all you need to do is go back to the mirror-"

"and wish to be king again!" Garrick added

"But dad, how are we gonna get to the castle?" Axel asked

just then, the castle steward, Benedick, entered the bakery.

"good day Garrick" the steward greeted him

"Benedick! i missed you!" Garrick said as he hugged the steward who was confused.

"um...why are you hugging me?" the steward asked Garrick

Garrick realized that everybody in the kingdom knows that he is a baker and immediately broke the hug.

"oh...uh...this is how we greet our costumers"Garrick said, "sorry about that, so, how can we help you?" Garrick asked.

"i came here to pick up the cake for the villager's ball" the steward said.

Garrick chuckled and asked, "what cake"

"the cake that i ordered yesterday, strawberry, vanilla icing, ten layers tall, sounds familiar" the steward reminded Garrick who was nervously smiling.

"right the cake, i'm afraid-" Garrick said only to get interrupted by Hugo, "it's not finished yet, but as soon as it is, we'll bring it to the castle in person" Hugo told the steward

the castle steward sighed and said, "nothing is going right today"

Samira came up to him and said, "Don't worry, it'll be there, plenty of time for the party"

"if there is a party, no one has any idea where the king is and it's getting late" the steward said looking at his pocketwatch

"alright then we better start, i mean finish the cake hehe, see you at the castle" Hugo told the steward

"if you say so, and no goodbye hugs please" the steward said as he ran out of the bakery

Garrick just laughed embarrasely

"bye now, great thinking champ, when we bring the cake to the castle, we can find the magic mirror and undo the spell" Garrick told Hugo

Just then Samira came up behind them, "you're forgetting one thing"

"what?" Garrick asked

"first we have to bake the cake" she reminded him

"and it's a good thing it's just a 10 layered cake" Axel said.

"and....how about you guys help me in baking the cake" Ally suggested.

"sure thing sweetie" Samira said

"then lets get baking" Garrick said as they all went to the kitchen to start baking

~~~~~1 hour later~~~~~

"well we did it" Garrick said as he looked at the cake

Axel went up to them and said, "yes we did dad, and look, Ally made me a cake similar to the one for the villager's ball"

he took a bit on the cake and his eyes lit up, "it's so good!" he said as he kept eating the cake.

those three words made Ally happy to hear that his brother enjoyed the cake she baked

The rest of the family just laughed at Axel.

"hahaha come on, lets get it to the castle" Hugo said as he and his family placed the cake on a wagon and headed to the castle
