Trigger Warnings: Nightmare

It had been around a week since Kat had first seen the three of them regressed down. She was slowly accepting the fact that nobody was going to get hurt if they slipped a bit. But she was still very hesitant. She had yet to regress herself, even though it has become apparent how stressed out the queen was.

Jane had been asleep. Catherine was next to her, snoring softly. The blonde blinked her eyes open slowly, looking around. Why was she awake?

She carefully sat up, trying not to wake her girlfriend. She stayed as quiet as she could for a moment or two. Then a soft whimper was heard.

Jane sighed and got out of bed. She quickly put on one of her Six sweatshirts. She recovered Catherine with most of the blankets/bedsheets. A cold house was favorable to no one, but especially not to the oldest queen, Catherine of Aragon. Her prior imprisonment for seven years had left her with a certain disdain for a few things; the cold being one of them.

The main lights were off in the hallway. There was one small night light between Anne's and Anna's room, however. Jane's heart almost broke when she heard a muffled sob coming from one of the rooms.

"Hey, Kat? It's Jane. Can I come in?" Jane asked softly, refraining from knocking on the door. Anne and Anna was usually the one to help Kat after her nightmares. However, Jane did her fair share of trying to help. The younger girl never came and asked for help for any of them, so she had begun to listen for the muffled cries and screams. She still missed them sometimes. All of the queens could tell the next day, however. Kat would have dark bags under her eyes and they were usually bloodshot. She would be very jumpy and even more reserved.

There was no answer, only quiet sniffles coming from the other side of the door. Jane knew the door wouldn't be locked; Kat had always refused to lock the door, saying that if they ever needed something, they would easily be able to get it. Jane couldn't help but think that this was something she had carried on from her previous life.

"Kat, dear, I'm going to come in. Okay?"

She knew she wouldn't be getting any answer so she hesitantly opened the door. Kat was huddled under multiple blankets, her head was barely visible. Her entire body was violently shaking as she tried not to sob and make noise. Her eyes were wide open but looked completely dull and panicked. Anne tended to scratch at her neck because it felt like it was on fire. Kat tended to quite literally dig at her scar with her long nails, trying to take it off.

"Hey, Kat. Is it okay if I sit down here by you?"

Kat looked at Jane when she spoke to her. She looked very confused all of a sudden. Kat moved her hands away from her neck. Then she managed a small nod, still shaking.

Jane sat down next to Kat. She kept her distance, not wanting to frighten the younger queen more. Kat moved closer to her after a while. She leaned against Jane like she didn't have enough strength to hold herself up.

Jane rubbed Kat's shoulder gently with one of her hands. "Want to talk about it, love?"

Kat shook her head once. "No."

Jane blinked back her surprise. Kat would usually never give many verbal answers, usually resorting to hand gestures and meek nods. "Alright, love. That's okay. Would you like me to stay with you?"

"Stay."

The older queen nodded. She carefully reached back behind Kat. She had seen Kat flinch and move away from her a little.

"Hey, it's okay. I'm just grabbing your blanket. I'm not gonna hurt you." Jane said as she grabbed the blanket she had been reaching for.

Kat grabbed onto the blanket and held it close to her chest. Jane continued to draw patterns into the queen's back. They stayed like that for a while. Jane could tell the youngest queen was having problems staying awake.
