Trigger Warnings: I'm kind of unsure how to properly warn this chapter but panicked thoughts and the cold are basically the main focus.

(A/N: Sorry for the delay on this chapter!)

It was always going to be an interesting day when a certain Catherine and Kat were the only ones home while the others performed. Usually, it was a good interesting. Today it was a bad kind of interesting.

Of course, Catherine didn't know that at first. She didn't think that a 40% chance of rain wasn't too big of a deal. She and Kat were going to try out a new recipe today. To do so they needed a few more ingredients from the store.

"You don't have to go out by yourself, Lina; it's okay. We don't have to make it today." Kat tried to convince the oldest queen as she pulled on her shoes.

"It's alright. I've been needing to go anyway. It won't take me long. I'll go to the one just down the street. It'll take me less than an hour." Catherine got up and pressed a kiss to Kat's hairline. "I'll be back before you know I'm gone."

Which was, an hour and forty-five minutes later, decidedly incorrect. The rain had been battering down relentlessly on the windows for at least the past hour. The loud booms of thunder seemed to rack the house's very foundation. And the lightning bolts illuminated Kat's room with bright flashes.

So she finally got annoyed enough to go and close the windows. She hadn't even paid attention to the time. But out of the corner of her eye, she saw a figure that was most definitely Catherine.

Kat rushed down the stairs as fast as she ever had. Shit, shit, shit, shit. Catalina- storm- cold- bad. And none of the other queens are home. Mega shit.

Kat flung open the door. She was met with a soaked to the bone Catherine. Her hair had been flattened onto her back from the water. Her clothes were dripping wet. She was holding two grocery bags in her hands. Her minimal makeup had been smudged. She looked so worn out and tired. What scared Kat more than that, however, was the blank look in her eyes.

"Lina? It's me, Kat. Why don't we get you inside?" Kat said softly. Catherine made no indication she heard anything that the youngest queen just said. "Alright...That's okay...Can I take the groceries from you? So you can get into the warm."

"¿Cálida?" (Warm?)

Kat narrowed her eyebrows ever so slightly. Okay, think Katherine, think. Anne has taught you some Spanish. Just try to remember. It's Catalina. Just...focus. "It'll be warm inside. Warm. We just have to go inside."

She stepped to the side and luckily Catherine also walked through. This was definitely not how Kat thought the day was going to play out. Once inside, the younger queen was able to truly see how soaked the other woman was.

Catherine just stood a few steps away from the door leading to outside. She looked around but Kat wasn't able to tell if she was actually there. The grocery bags (god, why had she let her go by herself) that she was still holding tightly onto seemed to be weighing her down.

"Lina, I'm going to take the bags from you, okay? It's just so you don't have to carry them anymore." Kat said softly.

As she did, she heard Catherine mutter, "No por favor. No tomes nada más. No me queda nada." (No, please. Don't take anything else. I have nothing left.)

The sixth queen didn't understand what she was saying but could tell that the Spanish queen was not fully with her at the moment. Why couldn't Jane or Anne be here right now? Or Cathy or Anna? Why did it have to be her? She couldn't even help her friend.

What would Jane or Anne do right now? Probably make sure Catherine wasn't hurt or freezing. Well, she looked cold. Maybe a shower would help...It's worth a shot.
