Today was Beatrix's 16th birthday, her uncle Wyatt who is just 2 years older decided to throw her a birthday party at the small house he shared with his mate Athena and his best friend Wes, the future alpha of the pack. Bea and her best friend Lia were done getting ready at her house and were going to ride Bea's new Range Rover over to Wyatt's house. Bea had decided on a soft pink cocktail short dress, Lia had chosen a baby blue two piece set, an off shoulder ruffled tube and high waist skirt.

They were ready to celebrate Bea's big birthday. She was finally 16, that is usually the age in which you meet your mate. Bea would deny it if you asked her but she was extremely excited, the possibility of meeting the man that would love her and treasure her made her feel giddy. Nyx was ready to feel complete, to find her perfect match, the only wolf in the world who could keep up with her.
The girls finally arrived at Wyatt's house, Bea couldn't believe the party her uncle had thrown her. It seemed that every young member of the pack was here. The place was packed, you could hear the music coming from inside the house, there were people lingering on the porch, the door was opened and the room inside looked full, they could only imagine how the backyard looked. It took a while for them to finally get inside since their pack members kept stopping them to congratulate Bea.
Bea couldn't describe what she was feeling since they arrived, she felt like her life was about to change the moment she stepped in the house, Nyx paced anxiously inside her. Once finally inside Lia decided to take action and try to find Wyatt pulling Bea along. She knew if she didn't it would take hours until he finally realized they had arrived. Bea allowed Lia to pull her along, her eyes kept changing colors, Nyx trying to get out, they felt their mate near. Bea tried looking around to see if she could see who her mate was. Lia finally found Wyatt with Athena at the makeshift bar in the backyard and pulled Bea towards them.
"The birthday girl has finally arrived!!" Athena yelled loudly once she finally saw the girls walking towards them. A few howlers were heard from those who had heard Athena's announcement.
Wyatt pulled Bea in for a tight hug. "Congratulations honey bee!" he told her, giving her a kiss on the forehead.
"Thank you uncle Wy, thank you for this party!" Bea couldn't help the big smile on her face looking up at her other best friend and uncle.
"This calls for a drink, even though you are underage, it's a big day and we have to celebrate it" Wyatt called out competing with the loud music. Bea couldn't help but keep looking around while Wyatt poured the shots. Lia was busy making googly eyes at Wyatt to notice her best friend's behaviour.
"Everything okay sweet pea?" Athena asked Bea quietly on her ear noticing her behaviour.
"Yeah it's just Nyx has me on edge, there's this feeling I can't describe" the conversation was interrupted by Wyatt giving them each a shot, "Hey Ronan! Get out here, we are having birthday shots!" Wyatt's wolf Kane mind-linked Ronan, Wes' wolf.
