Pyre's POV

Pyre was sick to death with boredom.

She had spent the last three hours letting her rage out on the force field which confined her. Unlike the last force field however, this one was especially designed so that it was nearly impossible to break it.

Pyre tried to sleep, but feeling like a sitting duck kept her awake, and she was forced to find another method to pass the time.

She knew what Ash-Tia would do: Use your imagination! But Pyre didn't want to use her imagination...

It kept drifting back to him.

I do not love him. He is my enemy. I hate him. I do not-

But you like him.

I. Do. Not!

He's adorable!

And?

He likes you back.

What? Do I care?

You care a lot-

"Hi."

Pyre spun around to face Thor, who was surveying her with interest.

"What?" She huffed, slightly irritated by his sudden presence.

"I wanted to talk."

"About...?"

"Your memories."

"Sorry. Too vague. Try again." Pyre rolled her eyes.

"What do you remember?"

"That's the same thing."

"Your past."

"I am seriously tempted to strangle you again. However, I have a feeling that it will not help you speak any clearer." Pyre snorted.

"Please, just get to the point." Thor was showing signs of becoming very irritated.

"I was born on the Sovereign. My parents were ambassadors and had me early, which was why I wasn't born on Hala. I joined the Star Force when I was twenty one. When I was twenty seven, the Skrulls attacked Torfa, where me and my family resided. They killed everyone there and left me for dead, while deleting tons of files about Kree citizens, which happened to include me. When I woke up, I had amnesia and couldn't remember anything,"

Pausing for a second, Pyre continued, "The old commander I had when I was training remembered my first name and some other details, but couldn't remember my last name, which is why my last name is Lost. I resumed Star Force and continued my work there. A month ago, I was offered to volunteer in an experiment and gained my powers."

"And...?" Thor asked.

"And what?"

"I have a feeling that's not true."

Pyre gritted her teeth. It was her option to tell her past, and she told it truthfully.

"It is."

"Are you sure?

"Yes."

"One hundred percent-"

Pyre's fists sparked. How dare he question her past! She had told him the truth and now he was just tossing it aside like it didn't happen.

In her anger, Pyre started to attack the force field, not even thinking about using her powers. It came naturally.

To some miracle, Pyre's hands weren't being damaged at the impact. It made it all the easier to try and get out.

The force field hissed and flickered, turning red where it was weakening.

Thud

Thud

Thud

The entire thing shattered around her, regenerating as soon as she bolted out.

Pyre ran towards the nearest weapon she could find. A knife with the same length as her hand to her elbow.

Slashing wildly, Pyre managed to cut Thor's face. He tried to ward her off, but without a weapon, it was useless.

She knew she was going to win.

Before Thor struck his leg out, knocking her off balance.

Sprawling, Pyre swore as rough hands wrenched the sword out of her grasp.

Rolling underneath Thor's legs, Pyre managed to kick him backwards, landing with a satisfying crack.

Examining the door, Pyre tried to decide how to get through.

She was about to punch some of the electrics, when Thor grabbed hold of her shoulders, sending her flying to the ground.

Completely winded, disarmed, and out of energy, Pyre could do absolutely nothing except struggle.

Thor's hands pulled out the small silver chip embedded in her neck.

No, no, no, no! I cannot lose my powers as well!

But... if she was losing her powers... why were they getting stronger?

A sudden photon blast filled the room with burning light, knocking everything around her away.

Pyre found her mind suddenly go blank... and then fill itself with stuff that never happened.

Only it did happen. Pyre could see each event like she was looking at a video, being able to replay parts again and again.

"What did you do to your uniform?" Yon-Rogg said in disgust.

"I can tell you where Thanos is." Nebula interjected.

"Hi... I'm Peter Parker..." The kids eyes widened in awe and slight embarrassment.

"You gotta... save 'em... without me..." Wendy Lawson panted, raising a gun.

"Auntie Carol!" Monica squealed with delight and ran up to the woman she had believed to be dead for six years.

Carol's eyes widened as she realized the truth who she really was.
