{3rd POV}

Natsu and Gray walked back to Sabertooth, leaving an unconscious Sting behind in the alley. Natsu was silently crying and sniffing, and Gray noticed. Gray hugged Natsu from time to time, receiving strange looks from the people around them. Gray didn't care. Natsu slowly started to feel a little better the closer they got. He was glad his caring boyfriend was there for him, even when he saw an uncomfortable scenario enfold in front him. But it wasn't Natsu's fault! Right...?

"We're here." Gray said. Natsu snapped from his thoughts and looked up. His eyes were slightly puffy and red. He was still sweating.

"Do you want to go home now?" Gray asked, holding his hand. Their rings glowed brightly, probably brighter than it did this morning. Gray was relieved to see that.

Natsu nodded immediately and gently hugged Gray, which Gray greatly returned.

"Cmon then." Gray gently pulled away and led Natsu into the guild.

"We'll be leaving, then. Thanks for today, everyone." Gray announced. Everyone turned around and waved. Yukino bowed and Rogue had a smirk on his face. He saw the bright light coming from outside, and he knew where it came from.

Natsu waved too. No one noticed his strange, quiet behavior. Normally, he was loud and made a mess.

Gray walked out, leading Natsu with him, and both walked to the train station.

(Time skip, on the train.) {Gray POV}

Natsu didn't get sick on the train. He was probably distracted by the events of today, and a pang of guilt hit me.

"I'm sorry Natsu, it's all my fault, I should've protected you or notice you were gone quicker. I shouldn't have brought you here, I shouldn't have left you alone." I said, and looked down. I felt really bad for this unfortunate date.

"Don't worry. It's not your fault. It's his. We shouldn't be quick on who we trust." Natsu said with sigh. He leaned his head on my shoulder, and I leaned my head on his head.

"I'll protect you from now on, got it?" I said firmly. Natsu nodded, and drifted off to sleep. I expected him to snore, but nope. He was a quiet sleeper. No noise came from his mouth. I felt a small smile form on his face. It was probably a good dream.

(Time skip)

"Natsu! We're here. Wake up, flame for brains!" I teased, poking him. He sat up groggily, taking in his surroundings.

"Cmon, lets go eat. You must be hungry." I said. He nodded and grabbed my hand. Apparently, we were able to control when the light turned on and off, thankfully. We held hands on the way to his favorite restaurant. It was his favorite because that's where Lucy bought him their first meal together.

Natsu rushed to a table and sat down. I chuckled, joining him.

"So? What do you want to eat?" I asked, and a sparkle appeared in his eyes. I laughed again.

After the meal, we walked to the park in front of the guild. It was way past before the date ended, but we wanted to spend more time together(besides, we can decide when the date ends, right?). We sat under a tree and Natsu leaned his head on my shoulder. I leaned on his head, and soon, there was a silence.

"Hey, Gray?" I opened my eyes and looked down at the forest of salmon-colored hair.

"Thanks for today." I ruffled up his hair.

"It's only right that I did that." I said. He blushed and punched me playfully. "You're mine, in more ways than one."

"Hah." He said. He stretched his legs out. "Wait, so how does this work? Since you like me, and I like you, and we did that entire thing, we're boyfriend and boyfriend now?"

"No." He looked at me.

"But that's how it—"

"Not...yet."

"What?"

"I have to ask first." I said, pulling myself away from him. "Wanna be my boyfriend, Fire Face?"

He scoffed. "Stop with the names, and I'll think about it." He kissed me lightly, pushing his face against mine. "Of course, dummy. So NOW it's official."

"Yeah."

(Time skip)

I was home already. I dropped Natsu off at his house, and now here I am. I quickly changed and went to bed. I looked at my ring. I remembered Lucy telling us that we were able to track each other down. I tracked down Natsu, to check if he was home.

He was. In fact, he was probably in bed, probably passed out. I laughed to myself and went to bed, thinking about my him.

*Next morning* {3rd POV}

"Gray! Gray!" He groaned and turned over. Lucy tried again, and Gray woke up, annoyed.

"What the heck?" He asked tiredly. Lucy slapped him to get him up.

"Ow...Geez, what was that for?"

"Now is not the time, Gray! It's an emergency!"

"What is it?"

"Natsu's missing!"
