The Half-Breed is Beyond Normal

Chapter 1: Just an Ordinary Girl

Hi. My name is Micah Medzindtie and I am the princess of the Midnight kingdom. People always say that we're different but when I look in the mirror I only see a nerd without glasses and pale golden brown eyes with striking gray iris surrounding my pupils, but other than that, Im just an ordinary girl. We live in California, where my mom, Queen Alicia, and dad, King James, reign over the whole western and western-central area of North America. I always knew that my parents are different but never got the chance to ask them. I am allowed to go to school because they say that I have to blend in. But like I said somethings different.

I turned 13 about 7 months ago and looking forward to my 14 birthday, which everyone is looking forward to. Hmm. I wonder why? So anyway, I go to Sumner Middle School and I'm in grade 8. Yes I know that im a bit young but I got into school early so what do you expect? I dont have any friends, yet im popular, because they think that im a psychopath hence of my eyes. I still dont get why everyone is giddy about my upcoming birthday in about 5 months. Another thing about me is that I have a 7 year old baby sister, Myra, and my twin brother, Kevin Medzindtie. Apossally since Kevin is the prince and I'm the princess, we are supposed to get married but in our case my parents say that we have to marry our 'mate'. Weird right?

Its Monday morning and the sun had barely rose above the horizon but im up and fully awake. I live in the Northern wing of the entire kingdom my brother live in the Southern wing, my parents live in the Eastern wing, and lastly, the advisers live in the Western wing of the kingdom. I have the whole Northern wing to myself and my servants. In order to get to my wing, you have to ring me, then I let you in. I got up from my plush queen bed and walked into my luxurious bathroom. I started my whirlpool jacuzzi and went back bedroom to look for something to wear. My eyes landing on my D&D white outfit which consist of a white stylish tank top with a low cut neckline and barely covers my belly button, and a short white skirt with D&D black design on the waist band. I laid the outfit on the bed and walked back into the bathroom. I stripped and walked into the jacuzzi. I got in a comfortable position and before long I dozed off.

In dreamland, I walking in the kingdom garden and I had the feeling that I was being watched. I turned in circles trying to get a glimpse of the person. In the shadows, I saw a pair of blue-green eyes with some soft purple spot in them, was staring at me. Those eyes were absolutely dazzling. And with I that I jolted awake to find myself in a luke warm water filled jacuzzi and next to me was Abby, my servant, holding a towel with our family crest: A sun and A moon with four stars on each side.

I took the towel and said "Thank you, Abby"

And she replied in a respectful and humble tone "Anything for you, Lady Medzindtie".

I started walking to my grooming room where there was three stylist waiting around a chair. I sat there and let them attack my hair, while Abby goes and get my outfit.

1 hour later

I was finally going downstairs for breakfast with Kevin before heading on to school. I ate my breakfast in silence then grabbed my bookbag from Abby. Kevin and I walked out together as usually and headed to the limo outside in the courtyard.

"So good morning twin. How was your night?" Kevin is my protective twin, he is always there for me.

We were inseparable, just like peas and carrots. Not only were inseparable, we were also popular. We are always together: in class, at lunch, gym, everywhere even at the hallways. We walked to First period, Math class. Mr. Peterson look up and glared at us. Looks like he woke up on the wrong side of the bed today and with thinking I accidently voiced it out

"Good morning, Mr. Peterson, did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed today?" Mr. P turned red, got up and was about to slap me but before he could even touch me, Kevin shoved him in the chest and he stumbled backwards and toppled over the desk.

"Dont you ever try to hit my twin ever again, matter of fact, dont even think about because you dont know what I will do to you if you hurt here in anyway" Kevin shouted.

I guess we had drawn a crowd because we heard them laughing and pointing at the teacher trying to recover from his fall. Through the rest of the class period, he didnt even glance at us. But occasionally the class would start snickering, just thinking of what happened earlier. The bell rang signalling second period.

"Where's you tardy pass Micah?" Fury course through me, no one calls me by my name except for my parents and Kevin.

"You have no right to call me by my first name."

She gave me a grim look and said "I have power over you, young lady. You will not disrespect me, I can hurt you in many ways other than physical." A low growl sounded from behind me. Kevin.

"Excuse me did you just growl at me? Thats it I had enough with you two. To the office." She opened the door for us and pushed us through. Ok, so Im not in a good mood today and so is my twin.

"What are you two kids doing out of class?" The principle asked.

"The teachers are picking on us. They must of woke up on the wrong side of the bed." We said unison.

"Well ok then, why dont you kids take the rest of the day off?" I smiled at tugged at my twin's arm.

I took my phone out and called our driver. The limo came and got us in five minutes. "So why are you kids not in school?" Chester, our driver asked.

"We dont really have to go to school so we not going to school anymore."

The drive to the kingdom was short, and when we got there, mom and dad wasnt there, so we had the whole kingdom to ourselves. Yay. So we did what we usually do. Try to find out what is going on with us. We went through files and everything. We had searched all through the files and was about to give up, but then Kevin called. "Look what I found." He found a parchment with me and my twin's name on it. It said in a neat handwriting:

                                                         Kevin and Micah Medzindtie, twins.

We have learned that the twins are the half-breeds, a prophecy we have claimed to be false. They will start changing in approximately one month before thier 14th birthday. Be aware of these signs; fangs, hormonal changes, increased speed, and etc. Remember to tell them what we have discussed. Until we meet again, Alica, James.

Kevin looked at me with the same confused glance I was giving him. "Half-breeds? What the hell is half-breeds? Somethings very wrong. We cant asked them now. We have to wait until about one month before our birthday, ok?" We did our secret handshake and put the parchment back where he found it, and we headed out the room.

For some reason, I have a feeling that things are gonna change when our birthday comes. But lets just hope that we will work it out.
