DECEMBER 25TH, 1987: THE STREETS OF TOKYO 3, 9PM

Kaworu tore down the busy street chaotically in his stolen vehicle trying to elude the police. He was easily going twice the speed limit, and nearly had about 5 head on collisions. Shinji on the chase had cut down 7th street to try to head Kaworu off but being on foot he was at a great disadvantage to his adversary.

Kaworu continued to weave in and out of traffic nearly colliding with several more cars as he tried to make his way to the Tokyo-3 freeway, which would give him an ultimate advantage over any cops that tried to chase him. He spotted the off ramp towards his intended destination only to find that it was currently under construction. That didn't stop the criminal though as he blasted through the construction signs and down the ramp towards the freeway.

Shinji was able to locate the stolen car, although he was having a hard time keeping up with Kaworu on foot he still relentlessly pursued the maniac. He saw Kaworu burst through the construction barrier but also spin out as he sped down the ramp. That gave Shinji the opening he needed to halt the maniac.

With an AK-47 that he relieved from one of the corpses' he left in the club fired a spray of bullets at the car, several of which landed at their intended target. Kaworu's car burst into flames as he still tried to evade capture, and his windshield was shattered by the bullets. He turned hard to his left and took off down the freeway as Shinji continued his dogged pursuit.

Kaworu continued to drive like a maniac as he took off the wrong way down the freeway endangering even more lives in the process. However, with the damage sustained to the car Kaworu couldn't control it, and slammed head on into an electric pole totaling the vehicle.

Shinji sprinted to the right of the bridge he was standing on, he leaped down on to the freeway off ramp to chase down Kaworu.

Kaworu came to just in time and kicked his door open. He turned and saw Shinji running full sprint at him with the AK-47 drawn. Kaworu took his own gun and fired a spray of bullets at the officer, his aim was poor though and they missed Shinji by a few miles. Shinji fired back at the escaping criminal but also couldn't hit his intended target. It was then Kaworu found an alternate means of escape.

Stuck in thick traffic was a 1987 black Audi. That would blend in perfectly with the evening sky and make it nearly impossible for Shinji to track. The one obstacle that remained was the person driving the vehicle, but he wouldn't remain a problem for long.

Kaworu yanked open the passenger door to the Audi and shoved his gun in the drivers face as he sneered evily.

"mind if I test drive your Audi?"

before the driver could process what was happening Kaworu violently shoved the man out of the moving vehicle and onto the hard pavement. The man grunted as he was dazed by Kaworu's assault and as he regained his berrings Kaworu fired up the engine and took off like a bat out of hell down the freeway.

Shinji ran into the oncoming traffic looking for a way to keep pace with the SELEE operative. Unfortunately, he wasn't so lucky as to do that. A cab that hadn't seen him run out into the middle of the street slammed into his back at a slow speed due to the backup, so it didn't really hurt Shinji but it did impede his chances to catchup to the fleeing thug.
