The party seems good, except for the fact that I am underdressed. Since Frank took ALL the time dressing up for the second time, I did NOT have any to put on something dressy. It’s just not my day I guess… But I can’t let him ruin the rest of it duh!

Right away to the bathroom… to get my redemption… Eyeliner and lip gloss is all I have though… Extra dark on the edges of the eye adds more intensity, kind of like smokey eye. And once I let my hair loose, feels like Megan fox on slow motion… good to go!

The crowd, cameras and endless flashes didn’t bother me, but VIPs with larger-than-life-personalities did. What a press-party look like.

And since my duty here is not to hang around like them, I better find Frank. And there he is being the center of attention in a group of ladies. Why ladies really? I mean if I were him, a Gay celeb, I would enjoy the attention of a bunch of guys… not ladies! What point of being Gay is that?

I approached them and stood by him presenting the crowd a smile.

“No way! I’d love to join you!” said Frank staring right into a lady’s eyes.

“Monday at 9 it is then” replied the lady winking. Okay... what’s with the flirting? Well that was definitely a first.

Wait, Monday at 9? “You have an interview on Monday with NYM from 8 to 10.” And with that, I earned a glare from Frank.

“Well then Tuesday at 9. Would that work for you?” he returned to the lady.

What is wrong with this guy? “You reserved a… ” I could not finish since Frank hissed at me in the mid.

“Who asked you? Don’t you have any other place to be?”

That’s it! What am I even doing here? Without wasting another second I turned and walked away.

I wondered around everywhere looking for Hilary. No sign of her although I found Jeremy.

“Hey Jeremy! Have you seen Hilary?”

“Mindy! Looking good huh! I don’t think Hill’s gonna be here love. So, what’s up?” said Jeremy in his usually drunk tone, while sipping a Champaign. Jeremy worked at our studio, also a Production Coordinator like Hilary. He is the one of closest friends I’ve got there so far.

“Nothing is up actually, everything seems pretty down, right now. I was trying to find Hilary to see if I could go home.” I answered while getting a Champaign for myself. “I guess I’ll have to call her.”

Waiting for Hilary to answer, I was thinking about everything that happened today.

“Mindy! I was just going to call you myself!” answered Hilary breaking my stream of thoughts.

        “Oh! Aren’t you coming?”

“Don’t think I’ll be able to make it, got caught up with some last moment proposals for the next month’s lining. Glad you called because, the Andy Huffman Show needs an interview from Frank next week. They wanted a background search of him before the show. Someone from their crew will meet you any minute now, give them the basics about Frank you know… the usual things.” There she goes breaking my heart. So much for leaving now…

“Ok then, good luck with the proposals.” I replied.

“So why did you call me?”

“To ask if I could l leave now, can I leave after that?” I asked with a pleading tone.

“Sure hon. Have a nice time then, bye”

“Bye” said I and hung up.

I sat on a stool in front of the beverage counter still sipping on my Champaign. Halfway across the hall was Frank, surrounded by another bunch of ladies. He looked stunning though. With all the fame and talent and everything, he has everything one can ask for. And is it still that so hard to be nice to others?

I do everything, the best I can. From early morning till late nights and sometimes couple of days in a row to get things done. In this industry, one minute of airtime costs millions. Sleepless nights and hard working days don’t stop anyone form their devotion to their work. So why can’t he give a little respect instead of slave driving?

Even when we go shopping for clothing I have to carry everything, have I complained, even for once? NO! For every photo shoot, one after the other, I arrange, pack and unpack his every single piece of clothing, and if I mismatch even just once piece, what do I get? A GALRE is all I get!

And even when…

“Jeez are you going to burn him down to ashes with that glare?” a voice form behind startled me and completely smacked me out of the thoughts.

“What did he ever do to you?” the voice came from behind and sat right next to me as I turned to face him. And let me tell you, from all the bad things that happened today, here comes the silver lining. Out of all the people on earth, here sits Andy Hoffman, the Hollywood’s most beloved TV show host, with his signature smirk, dazzling all over the place.
