—Sewers, Hells Kitchen—
2016The man just stood there, as if he were frozen in time. Marc's spine tickled at the frightening sight of the lone man, just feet in front of him.
One moment, they were both as still as could be, the next, the man charged at Marc, letting out a terrifying yell.
The man was fast, as he swung at Marc, although missing by mere inches. Marc attempted to grab the hatchet, however failing to do so as the enemy impales the hatchet into Marc's hand, as blood leaked all over the heel.
He let out cries of pain as he tore it out of his skin, kicking the man to the ground. But that wasn't effective for so long as he bolted back up to his feet, throwing the hatchet at Moon Knight.
He attempted to catch the weapon, but it slipped through his fingers, flying right into his chest, knocking him off his feet.
He crawled backwards, propping himself up against the walls as he was approached by the offender.
"Get in my way again, I'll twist your neck so far the chances are high it'll pop right off your little neck." He said to Marc, scaring him quite a bit in his deep tone with a crackly voice. "I'm keeping you alive so you can go to the cops, tell them just one thing. One line, that shall send shivers down their spines."
Marc took a big gulp as he reluctantly nodded his head, up to the task, since it was this or losing his life.
[Before telling him what he must do, the man tore the hatchet out of Marc's chest, causing him to grit his teeth.
"Tell then the Shadow Knight has returned."

—NYCPD—"The Shadow Knight huh?" Brett asked, not a care in his voice, however Marc noticed another cop clearly frightened just by the name.
"Yeah, he said his return would send shivers down your spine, or something really fucking cheesy like that."
"Well, I probably haven't been on the force long enough mate, but it seems like others may recognise his name." Brett spoke, looking around at the several other officers in the lobby.
"Oh, alright then, thanks. Just spread the word? Maybe we could catch this guy." Marc suggested as Brett nodded.
"Sure thing."
"Awesome, see ya around!" Marc shouted, exiting the premise.
"I sure hope not!"
Marc, as soon as he left the Department, felt his phone buzzing. He lifted it out of his pocket, answering the call.
He was immediately met with a "Hey babe."
"Oh, hi Marlene." He said, relieved it was her. At this point he was getting paranoid, so he thought it was gonna be this "Shadow Knight" on the other end of the line.
"Where are you?" She asked curiously.
"Uh, I'm just at my apartment, why?"
"Then why aren't you opening your door?"
Marcs eyes widened as she asked that. "Be right there!"
He hung up immediately, putting the phone back in his pocket and ran at full speed over to his apartment.
He entered into a separate building, racing up the stairs and onto the roof. He then saw his unlocked apartment window, which he used to leave and get to the crime scene just hours before.
He sprinted over to the edge of the roof, leaping directly at the window, almost failing in fact.
He barely caught onto the window ledge, making a loud bang noise, which Marlene heard.
"Are you okay in there??" She asked, checking on her boyfriend, quite worried.
"Yeah, I'm fine!" He yelled, opening the door, and giving her a quick kiss.
"Why is your head bleeding?"
"My head's bleeding? Oh, heh. Because, I slipped in my apartment on my way to the door and, hit my head... on something."
Marlene sighed, crossing her arms and frowning at him. "Were you out Moon Knighting?"
Marc held back a huge amount of laughter, puffing his cheeks and lightly yet clearly sniggering for about 15 seconds straight.
"I'm sorry, Moon Knighting?" He questioned as Marlene nodded her head, causing Marc to do one of those ugly faces while he burst out laughing. "You know, it's actually kinda professional, so don't refer to it as something that you would expect a 5 year old to say."
"A 5 year old would also call themselves Moon Knight."
"Yeah, if they were both the coolest and the most genius 5 year old EVER!" He exclaimed, right in her face. "Plus it's to do with my abilities... why did you come round here?"
"I was wondering if you would perhaps like to grab a drink? Maybe some lunch?" She offered, putting her hand out so he could take it.
"Oh yeah, sure, sure, sure, sure thing." He accepted, grabbing his keys and locking the door as they descended down the stairs, grabbing her hand.
They exited the building, Marlene had Marc's arm around her. However, they didn't realise the man in a full dark clothes and leather jacket with his hood up and a bandana over the lower half of his face watching them from a distance.
They entered a bar, soon noticing a drunk, passed out Jean-Paul AKA Frenchie at the counter.
"Oh come on." Marc huffed, grabbing himself a glass of water and pouring it on the drunken fool.
At first all he did was gurgled, then he screamed to his feet, looking at both Marlene and Marc.
"Drunk?" Marlene giggled, as Frenchie grabbed a towel to dry himself off with.
"No. It's Jean-Paul actually." The Frenchman stated, looking like an absolute imbecile.
"Yeah, you're hammered. You should probably head home-" Marc was saying before getting cut off by the alarming sound of countless screams coming from terrified customers.
Marc whirled around, only to see a hatchet, spinning right in his direction
