It was 2nd March 1989 and Jake was finally out of Jail and he was going to go to University for the first time and he is so glad to be going to university because he can finally enjoy his life and have freedom, he was going to New York City from London.
But there was a problem the Piccadilly Line has severe delays and he had to find a way to get to get to the airport because he knew he didn't want to miss his flight, so he gets out at Piccadilly Circus and he gets the cab to the airport.
And he is just so excited to get there because it was his first time travelling by himself because usually he travels with his mum or big annoying sister Ella.
And Ella is the most annoying person in the world that I know about, and I looked at the leaflet for the university and it had a picture of a castle on it so I thought that this couldn't be a normal university it must be for people who love kings and vikings.
So I call up the university and said do you know what the university is?
And they said yes this is a university on the island of Rhodes and I said you mean Rhodes Camp and they said yes it s at Rhodes camp.
And I said ok I will see you there, so I had to go to New York first then change onto a flight to Rhodes then drive to Rhodes camp and I love doing long journeys it's my favourite thing to do.
So I finally take off and I was really excited because I have never been to Rhodes before this would be my first time.
