The moon doesn't
shine without the sun,
so you can't tell
if it is whole or not.

2.) MEMORY
My memory of you
suddenly fades away,
for the words
you didn't say,
it left me in pieces ---
torn,
of love that is
never mine
in the first place.

3.) DAY
Whiskey of sorrows,
I am drunk,
of lies
when the day
you said you'd
loved me,
where in fact,
you weren't.

4.) MIRROR
The mirror reflects
your beauty,
and it will always be.
So, don't call
yourself ugly,
for there's someone
who will accept wholeheartedly.

5.) CALL
A distant call
from the sea
I heard...
swish swish swish,
says the ocean,
and I drown myself
within it.

6.) SHIRT
The perfume
you left on my shirt,
as the day since
you broke my heart,
that the smell
remains here,
but you're not
in my heart anymore.

7.) ADORE
You only love
my words,
but never
someone like me.

8.) YEAR
It has been a year
since the last day
when you left me.
But don't you dare
come back,
for my heart is
free at last ---
away from you,

9.) MUSIC
Songs of love,
the notes hit
me so hard,
when every time
I listened to them,
I remember you.

10.) GOOD-BYE
Fly,
up until
I no longer see you,
for your wings
are made of wax,
just like Icarus,
don't you ever
fly near the sun.

11.) TIME
All I need from you
is your time,
but it seems you
are busy from time to time ---
so I decided to ignore you,
that you still looked for you,
even though
I returned what is needed
to be returned.

12.) THOUGHTS
My mind
has always been
thinking about you,
even if you are
thinking for someone else.

13.) TALK TO ME
It is 3:00 AM
in the late evening,
but you still didn't talk,
about how
you break up with me.

14.) THIRSTY OF YOUR LOVE
I am like a rose,
asking for water
to relinquish
my thirst,
when I was deprived
from the sun,
but you never gave
me at least
a drop of water ---
I am already wilted.

15.) SILENCE
Sometimes silence
is all I needed to
hear from you,
for every time
you talk,
it makes my heart
breaks,
until it becomes
a tiny fragment.

Author's Note: These poems mean so much to me because they showed who I really am as a person. My words reflect of hurtful love can ever become. Like guessing which way is right or not when you are lost in the dead forest of hopelessness. I hope you'll find the exit just like what I did. I hope you ever will.
