THE GUILT BENEATH THE PAIN

Chapter 5

Madison's POV

During the tour I saw places like the dinning room, gaming room, the garden, the indoor swimming pool and the mini theater.Currently Scarlet and I are chatting in the living room and getting to know each other when Aunt Skylar walks in and asks Scarlet if she could take me to the mall to buy a few clothing and some school supplies to which Scarlet agrees."I would love to do that. Ari we will have a lot of fun",Scarlet say enthusiastically with a huge smile plastered on her face.Earlier when Scarlet and I were chatting I had told her that my middle name was Ariana, since then she decided to call me Ari for short."Thank you Aunt Skylar, I really appreciate all that you and every one in this household is doing for me",I said gratefully with a small smile playing on my lips. Scarlet and I both made our way to our respective bedroom to change into a more suitable outfit. I had changed into a grey dress hoodie that reached my knees and paired it up with a pair of grey sneakers. I then had my hair braided into two French briads after which I left my bedroom but not before picking up my small back pack that could only contain my phone and money then descended the stairs very quickly but carefully. Downstairs, I met up with Scarlet who had also thrown on a yellow sundress that was two inches above her knees, she was also wearing a pair of white sneakers and a cute yellow hand bag with her hair bonded by a scrunchie into a high pony." Are you ready", Scarlet asked me to which I responded by noding my head. We then headed outside and hopped into Scarlet's red Range Rover and hit the road. About 15 minutes on the road we were stopped by the traffic light that had just flashed the red light. Scarlet took that opportunity to connect her phone to the car's stereo and began blast different types of music genres to which we both sang along while bobbing our heads to the beat of the songs and laughing. What I have noticed during this short time Have spent with Scarlet is that she has a very bubbly personality which makes her easy going. 15 more minutes later we had reach the mall's entrance gate and were going through the hustle of finding a parking space in the parking lot. Scarlet finally found a parking space after 7 long minutes,we got down from the car and headed to a shop with the brand Zara, in fact more like Scarlet leaded the way to the shop. "Um, Scarlet I thought we will be heading to some here like Target because I don't have enough money to afford the clothes in that shop",I said while pointing to the shop labled Zara. "Oh don't worry about the money, mom gave me her credit card to shop for you. Since you will be a new student at school you will have to make a good first impression.", Scarlet replied. " But I don't want people wasting their money on such expensive clothings for me when I could just buy them at an affordable price at Target.", I protested. After about 15 minutes of arguing Scarlet won and dragged me through Zara' entrance as if if she leaves me I would run to Target which no doubt I would. At Zara we bought tops,skirts,hoodies, sneakers and other clothings. The next shop we visited against my will was Gucci where Scarlet grabbed a leather back pack and a few heels for me we then visited other designer shops where we bought a few things. The last shop we visited was a shop that dealt in school supplies, there we grabbed all the stationary we needed and headed to the parking lot with a lot of shopping bags which we dropped into the trunk of  Scarlet's car and sat in our seats. We then headed to Mac Donalds since we were both hungry. We joined the que the cars had made at the drive through waiting for our turn. When our turn finally reached Scarlet ordered for French fries with chicken nuggets with a cup of chocolate milkshake while I ordered for a chicken burger, French fries and a cup of strawberry milkshake. We paid for the total bill and grabbed our orders and left for the house while we ate in the car and listened to music. When we reached home, the workers helped us to carry our shopping bags into the house; we both went to our bedrooms to freshen up around 6:00 pm since we had spent a lot of hours at the mall. After I was done taking a long relaxing shower to soothe my aching bones,I went into the bedroom and threw on an oversized grey dress shirt and put my now wet hair into a very messy then jumped unto my bed which felt so comfortable and soft. I turned my head to my left where the nightstand was situated and checked my digital clock which read 8:00 pm, I then let out a loud sleepy yawn that escaped my lips while I slowly closed my eyes. I was so tired but I couldn't wait to see what tomorrow has in store for me while I was welcomed with open arms the comfort sleep brings.
