MADISON'S P.O.V
I looked into my room which once was full of all my childhood memories and happiness, but now looks empty, dull and drained of all my childhood memories. I can't believe I won't be seeing them again for the rest of my life but I still hear their voice and laughter fill my ears and head. Today is the day I leave California and this house that held a lot of beautiful happy memories and also sad memories. I pulled my three suitcases one by one to the main doorway downstairs and locked the front door of the house. At least I was allowed to keep the house and other wealth or fortune of my parent which were left behind for me. I am even lucky I am not even moving into an orphanage home but rather going to leave in New York with my aunt and her family. Who am I kidding what is lucky about my life now that I have lost the two people who meant a lot to me. As the cab began to leave I stared back at the house I spent literally my whole 17 years of living on this earth in, it started to fade away from my sight slowly as the cab kept moving until it was finally out of my sight. I finally had the courage to look ahead of me to see what awaits me. I some how managed to sleep during the car ride because I was awoken by the cab driver calling me. "Ma'am please we are here",he said. After he helped me unload my suitcases from the car I paid him and even added some tip to it for him.
