It seemed like a normal day, I was finishing the last touches of my Kyoshi makeup and looking myself over in the mirror. My light colored hair was fish tail braided to stay out of my face, my grey eyes popping from the makeup, my Kyoshi Warrior uniform neat on my body.

Suki, as the leader had a golden head piece, larger than the others headpieces, to signify her leadership role. Her's clearly inspired by that of Avatar Kyoshi herself. The other warriors had thinner green headbands with a golden emblem on the front.

My headpiece was slightly different, the Kyoshi Warriors like to consider me a deputy of sorts, and due to my different background—I had something fit to my own style.

It was the green headband, but the golden emblem was a tad larger than the other warriors, besides Suki's of course.

Within the emblem, it had the symbol of air at the top and then slightly down and to the right of it was the symbol of water, down to the left was the earth kingdom symbol and up to the left was the fire nation symbol. Four nations, together, as they should be.

Everyone was skeptical at first of me wanting the Fire Nation symbol placed on it after everything they've done, but I didn't listen.

They eventually grew to admire my decision, they still hate the Fire Nation, but they admire my love and faith in humanity.

I leave my house to find Suki waiting for me outside, "took you long enough!" She always acts like I take hours to get ready, even when she takes twice as long as I do.

"Yeah, yeah, because we all know you're as quick as elephant koi being chased by the unagi, when it comes to getting ready!" I laugh when she turns and sticks her tongue out at me.

"You're a pain in my backside, you know that, Li?"

"I could've guessed. And you could guess, you're a pain in mine as well," I laugh.

"That's why we're such great of friends." Suki says and wipes away fake tears.

"You're a horrible actress," I laugh as she shoves me, laughing too.

"Lets get going slow poke," and with that we were off to train with our friends.

"Are we still going swimming today, Suks?" I ask, not that I had to ask, we went swimming almost everyday. We called it part of our 'training,' warriors need to be able to have fun too, alright?

"You know it. The girls are counting on it, not to mention, I'm pretty sore from training yesterday. That new girl has caught on fast," Suki says rubbing her shoulder.

"Tell me about it, I'm pretty sure my ribs are bruised." I winced, now noticing the pain I'm in.

"Better look out Suks, she's coming for your leadership position," I joke and Suki laughed, "I hope not, that's quite the competition."

We continued to talk and joke around until we reached the dojo, where the girls were stretching. "The party has arrived!" I state, fist bumping the air and making a silly face.

"That's a relief! We were so lost without you," Lily says sarcastically, making everyone laugh.

"It's alright, you've been found again. You're welcome," I laugh.

"Alright ladies! We'll spar here for awhile and then head to the beach to get our laps in," Suki winked. Ah, such a good running joke.
