"Hey Sokka, can you hand me my bag?" I ask, looking at the waves below.

"Why can't you just grab it?" He asks, his finger in his ear.

"I mean I could, but it's right next to you so I was just wondering if you could hand it to me. You don't have to," I say, getting up from where I was on Appa's saddle and grabbing my bag. "Ow!" I exclaim when I twisted the wrong way, making my side hurt.

"Lay down! No moving for a couple more days Liena!" Katara scolds, checking on my wound. "And you! You should be nice to her, she's still healing and shouldn't be moving at all." Katara says, now scolding her brother.

"Ugh! It's not my fault she got so messed up." Sokka complains.

"I'm fine! Thank you for the concern, but I've been through worse." I promise, smiling at Katara.

"You need to heal Liena, so you can see Omashu!" Aang says in excitement.

"True... I've always wanted to go. I choose Sokka to be my servant until I'm all better," I say as I kick my feet up, this made Sokka whine and the other two laugh.

Katara, has been amazing so far. She's not a replacement for Suki, but she is definitely on her way to becoming one of my best friends. She's so caring and acts like a motherly figure that I've so needed in my life.

Sokka, has been... well, Sokka.

He's really funny, sarcastic, and can be a little annoying but he makes this a lot more fun. I'm a little worried that he might hate me still, but I'm going to try to get on his good side. I couldn't imagine our little group without him.

And then there's Aang. The first couple of days of me telling them my story, he's been so attentive, asking questions and staying wide eyed. There's been many times so far on our trip where he's just sat and stared at me, like he couldn't believe I was actually here. I can tell he's super happy to have met me and the feeling is mutual. He's already agreed to teach me everything he knows, and that means the world to me.

Momo and Appa are the truest and sweetest friends. They are so cute and I feel like we have a deep connection with each other.

Momo is actually sleeping on my head currently. He'd become my hat. I look in my bag and pull out a small sack full of snacks. I took out a moon peach and shared a piece with Momo who devoured it. I gave a piece to Aang and a whole one to Appa. "You love moon peaches too?" Aang asks in excitement.

"Of course! They're my favorites, besides fruit cakes. I make the most amazing cake," I say, my stomach grumbling.

"Hmm.. I don't know. Monk Gyatso and I made the best cakes," Aang brags.

"Everyone in my village couldn't get enough of mine." I boasted, rubbing the fake dust off my shoulder.

"Well, you didn't have a lot of people to compare yours to." Aang fires back.

"Touché, young airbender." I shrug with a laugh.

"I guess that means you'll have to compete, oh darn," Katara says with fake worry, just wanting to taste the highly praised treats.

"I guess it does," I smile.

"Sounds like fun to me!" Aang shrugs with a grin.

"Maybe once we're in Omashu?" He suggests and I nod enthusiastically.

"I'm rooting for Aang!" Sokka suddenly contributes from where he was laying.

"I figured as much," I respond.

A couple days have past, we took a lot of breaks flying so it took awhile to get to the city. They were also trying to give me some time to heal up, so I could be there with them.
