Once I finish eating I went to my room and locked my door. I started to undress and throw my clothes into the hamper. I went into my restroom and opened my closet, pulling out a purple shirt and some black leggings. I put them on the edge of the sink and turn the shower on. I step into the shower and start to clean myself.

I turn off the water and grab my towel. Stepping out of the shower, I grab another towel to lay on the ground to block the water drilling from my hair and body. I get dressed and do my hair, then go to brush my teeth.

"Going to get the mail, are you guys expecting anything?" I poke my head into Delphi's room, where Bella is helping her pull the room together.

"Maybe some letters from home, but other than that, nope." Delphi looks up at me.

"What she said." Bella is focused on a box full of what looks like room decor.

"'Kay!" I swing my head back into the living room and walk out the door. I walk down the stairs trying to ignore everyone, although it's kind of hard when they are sticking their hands in your face and running up to you. I walk to the mailboxes and open ours. I grab three envelopes and walk over to the big packages mailboxes. I unlock it and take out a pretty big box full of what I believe to be my bins.

I open my door and put the two envelopes said to be for the girls on the table. I keep mine in my pocket and carry the heavy box to my room. As I start to unpack it I glance out my window, and it looks as if my mother (the tree) is watching me. I look at her for a moment and decide to open my box later, and go down to talk.

As I walk down the trail I realize that talking to a tree will be odd, but people know who I am, so it won't be so embarrassing.

I walk up to her and say hello.

"Hello, Luna darling." She said in a voice that sounded like she was on the other side of a cave than me, echoing and whisper-like.

"Hey, uh. So your my real mom?"

"Yes." The tree shakes, making it look as if it's nodding its head that it doesn't have.

"Wow...." I don't really know what to talk about, so I ask her about my past.

"Well, you were born right here, meant to be a plant, but turned into a human somehow. I meant to make you a new plant that I wanted to create, one that could only grow by moonlight. I decided to name you Luna because of that. I picked you up in one of my rather soft and long branches, and put a little note on you, saying your name and birthday. I sat you down on the orphanage porch, and unfortunately they didn't allow babies who came on the porch, something about trust issues, and sent you to the island. They took you in and apparently your mother, who adopted you of course, took you in when you were three. The rest is in you or your mothers memory." She explained.

"Oh, wow. So.... I'm supposed to be a plant?"

"That only grows from moonlight, yes."

"No wonder I always feel more alive and well at night!" I chuckle. "Well, I better get going inside, it's almost lunch time. I'll see you another day!" I wave goodbye and walk back to my room.

Thats it! This is the first book, just the "backstory" of it all! I hope whoever reads this enjoyed!
