Nandini knew,  it was better not to drag the topic further...  But she also felt sad seeing her daddy so sad so she said..

"it's Okay dada,  I can be your friend too.. " Manik looked at her for a while,  how sweet can she be!!!  He thought...

Patting her head softly to his chest he replied,  " oh baby!!  Aren't you already everything to me " , "now  get ready,  we are going to head to the mall" he said regaining his posture..

"yeah!!  " Nandini replied jumping off from his lap and wiggling a bit to show off her joy  ...!!

Manik silently looked at his bundle of happiness with a smile..

The drive to the mall was short and silent..  With Nandini sitting close to Manik,  drawing random things in his hand...  Whilst Manik silently adored the cuteness kissing her hair occasionally ...

Before leaving the  car Manik hold Nandini close to him and said,  " don't leave my hand " his voice held a tinge of fear 'what if she leaves me!! ' was all he keeps thinking all the time  ..

"yes daddy " Nandini replied with a big smile plastered on her face..

They walked inside the mall going straight to the hamley's cause that's what Nandini choosed to visit first ...
(for those who are unaware,  hamley's is a play store which sells the cutest and the softest toys for kids) 

Roaming around,  Nandini's eyes caught a site of an unicorn soft toy with rainbow eyes..  Unicorns had always been Nandini's favourite mystical animal...  Sometimes she even thought that what if,  unicorns were really in existence  ... They would probably smell like candies and would be so fluffyyyy...  That she will even die for having it...!!

She tugged at Manik's arm who was busy looking around... When got the attention she pulled Manik along to the stall.. 

"daddy can I please have this " she asked pointing at the unicorn with pleading eyes and her all time favourite pout.. 

"yes .. Anything my baby says " Manik replied making Nandini giggle and cuddle with the soft unicorn... Much to Manik's annoyance...  She should have cuddled him...

"but baby you should name it something too.. " Manik said taking the unicorn in hand as if inspecting the creature...  And he hold Nandini close to him with his hand resting on her shoulder..

"yes daddy what about I call her sparkle.. " Nandini asked with a bright smile...  She has got a name so easily.. 

" so sparkle it is " Manik replied....
"go on look around choose whatever else you want,  I'll follow you " Manik said looking at the girl who was busy squeezing and cuddling the fluffy creature in her hand to herself ..

Nandini happily strided around the shop and Manik followed her closely.. 
After what felt like eternity,  Nandini decided on taking the rhino stuff toy or the panda stuff toy.. 

Though Manik suggested her to take both,  she thought otherwise..  Her exact words were "no daddy,  I don't want to waste too much of your money "
How practical!!  Manik thought shaking his head with a sight... 

After finally making her mind to take the panda for this time Nandini looked towards Manik "daddy,  I'm done " nodding Manik took her hand and went for the billing....

Once done he said in his usual stiff tone..  "deliver this to the Malhotra's palace " without waiting for a reply he took Nandini with him and went outside...

"where do you want to go now,  princess ?" he asked the cute little goodness caressing her hair softly..

"where ever you want to take me.. " Nandini replied softly.. 

Manik took her to target to buy some of the essentials that he thought they might need..

Then he took Nandini along to a dress store that selled both cute and classy,  party and casual outfits..

"Okay baby.. You can choose whatever you want.." Manik told to Nandini..

Looking around Nandini found herself confused as always about what to buy..  When...
