Talking to Dad ~ Ch. 5

Previously on "My Other Half":

When she leaves me standing there I feel hurt then I remember I still need to explain everything to her. Damn this is going to be a long day. But do I really need to tell her today?

Hope pov:

"Of course you need to tell her today! If you don't I will. I may be mad at her but she's my twin!" Lizzie yells. The whole reason why Lizzie is yelling at me is because as soon as I got back to the room I told her my thoughts after explaining what happened. "I'll talk to my dad and tell him what's happening so Josie and you get today off from school. Then you can go to me and Josie's room and tell her and the day off will give her time to process this." Lizzie says walking out and slamming my room door. Well looks like I have to go to Josie's room and talk to her. This is going to be fun.

Lizzie pov:

After walking down the stairs I made it to dad's office. "Hey dad I need to talk to you." "What is it now Lizzie?" He then turns around to see my face serious which to be honest doesn't happen often. "What's wrong?" "Nothing is wrong I just need to talk to you about Hope and Josie." "What about Hope and Josie? Please tell me this isn't just drama." Here it goes I guess. "Dad I need you to not talk while I explain." He then nods. "So me and Hope are like apparently besties now and all that and Josie admitted to having a crush on her. I know, not that big of a shock and still not the point. The point is though is that when Josie said that it triggered something in Hope." "What do you mean triggered Hope?" Dad says looking concerned. I swear he's dumb, I told him not to interrupt me. "I was getting there. Just don't talk till I say you can." He then just nods in response. "Anyway I triggered something in Hope's wolfie mind. And there's this thing we learned about when we were learning about fake supernatural stuff and all that jazz. Well Hope feels this pull towards Josie. This pull results in a bond." "The mate bond." We say at the same time.

Alaric pov:
Well shit. "I thought this was fake. But why are you tell me this now and why you instead of Hope since she's experiencing it?" "Well I told Hope to talk to Josie cause she deserves to know so she's going to do that." I know where this is going. "So you want me to excuse the for today." I mean it makes since. It'll stress both Hope because of telling Josie and Josie because of finding out all of this." I look up at Lizzie after thinking and see her puppy eyes. "I guess that makes sense. And I think maybe give them a week cause as the bond grows they are going to need to be closer. Congrats Lizzie, you officially have your own room."

Lizzie pov:

Wait what? My own room?
