Chapter 16

Aria's p.o.v
Jesse kisses me goodnight and walks back into his apartment. I walk back into mines and i see Julia sitting in her chair with her puppy dog eyes waiting for me to explain.

"The date was amazing and we ended it on a high note." I say smiling at her.

"Ughhh you guys are so cute together; i can't wait to see you rub it in Devons face when she sees "her Jesse" canoodling with you." She says giggling.

I grab some water out of the fridge and look at her with an eyebrow raised up; then i walk back to my room and Julia looks at me shrugging her shoulders.

I take off my clothes and take a nice hot shower. A few minutes later i get out and go straight to bed.

The next morning i wake up to my alarm ringing loudly. I had to get ready for work and i just didn't want to go to work at all, i just wanted to quickly jump into jesse's arms and cuddle with him. But right now i shouldn't even be thinking about that besides it's only been one date; but even that didn't stop me from having sex him way before a date.

I quickly did my morning routine and headed out for work. As soon as i get to work i see my boss taking the chairs down from the table.

"Hey, you're pretty early." He says smiling at me as he takes down the last chair. I quickly put my stuff behind the counter and start cleaning up.

"I just decided to come early, since I've been pretty late on all my shifts; Which by the way I'm so sorry about that." I say wrapping the apron around my waist.

"Which there should be no more of that; I've only been a little easy on you because i actually like you more than the others." He says handing me the rag and smiling at me.

I grab it from him and smile back. Before i start cleaning i get a text from Jesse.

Jesse: Hey, when you get off wanna go on a little lunch date?
Me: Yeah sure. I'd like that.
Jesse: Alright I'll see you soon.

After my shift i quickly walk home to change and at least look somewhat decent for Jesse. Julia walks into my room.

"Hey can i borrow these?" She asks picking up a pair of my heels.

"Yeah sure. Where are you going?" I put my hair up into a ponytail.

Julia walks towards my bed and sits down putting on the heels. "Well I'm going to meets mike's parents today for lunch and i just wanna look my best." She starts checking out if the heels go with her outfit.

"Julia, you look great stop freaking out. You are missing this though." I put a cute small ruby necklace on her and i flip her hair back the way it was.

"Thank you. Ugh what would i do without you?" She says smiling at me and then gives me a huge kiss on the cheek; she leaves a huge red lipstick stain on my cheek.

"Ughh Julia!" Julia quickly runs out of the room and i walk over to my dresser to grab a makeup wipe, as i wipe off the lipstick stain I feel a pair of hands around my waist.

"Julia what in the world?" I say but as i quickly turn around i see Jesse standing smiling at me.

"Damn, what do you and Julia do when I'm not around." He says quickly laughing, i playfully push him away and continue rubbing off the lipstick stain that's there.

Finally after about two minutes getting that cursed shit off my cheek, Jesse and i finally leave.

"So where are we eating today?" I ask him as i look at all of the trees and hills we had passed by.

Jesse grabs my hand and holds it as he's driving with the other hand. "We are actually not going to a restaurant, i wanna take you somewhere special that no one really goes there. I've never took anyone there not even Devon."

I smile at him and look back out the window. After about twenty minutes of driving we finally pull up and the car stops. Jesse opens up the trunk of the car and pulls out a picnic basket and a blanket.

He leads me through a trail of trees, bushes, and grass. I thought we were getting lost but Jesse knew his way already; at the end i see a beautiful clear lake with a dock. Jesse lays the blanket down and sets up the food.

"Jesse this is beautiful." I look around at the view and it was just so peaceful to see the blue sky with the tall trees in the background and this huge lake; it was all just breathtaking.

Jesse's p.o.v
Aria looks so beautiful even just standing there and looking, she's so mesmerized by the view when I'm just mesmerized by looking at her doing the simplest things.

"So you gonna stand and look all day or are you gonna join me." I reach out my hand to her, she grabs it and sits down with me.

"Who knew Jesse does picnics. That's very unlikely of you." She says playfully giggling.

"I guess it's just something about you, that makes me wanna do wholesome things i don't know." I take a bite of the watermelon.

It's been a couple hours now just sitting and talking with her but it only felt like a few minutes. I've never had a real sit down talk about life with any of my exes, they were all worried about the wrong things.

"Am i really the only person you've brought here?" Aria says as she looks around.

"Yeah. This was just always a place for me to come and think when i needed time alone; but i wanted to bring you here." Aria sits between my legs and i wrap my arms around her.

"Thanks for bringing me here, i really love it." She says. I kiss her head and start to think about how even though it's been a second date i really do feel something for aria. I should've never hurt her in the beginning; it could've been different if i had just asked her out and actually got to know her.

I'm just glad that I'm here with her now and i didn't let her slip out of my hands.

A COUPLE MONTHS LATER:
Aria's p.o.v
I'm on my laptop doing some work researching new styles and trends, since now i work at fashion company as an intern for now. Ever since Jesse and i started dating he's done so much for me; got me a paid internship, bought me a car, keeps taking me to expensive dates and trips. I want to give back but he never lets me.

Jesse walks in my room with two plates in his hands and hands me a plate. "Okay i think you've done enough work for now."

I set my laptop down and eat my breakfast. "I'm sorry it's just Riley has me going back and forth on researching everything about old trends and new ones."

Jesse sits down nexts to me and starts eating with me. "So tomorrows your birthday,What do you wanna do?" He says.

"I'm not sure, maybe go out for dinner." I say picking at my eggs.

"What's wrong?" Jesse says looking at me confused.

"It's just- i don't really like my birthday since something bad always happens."

"Like? You can tell me." He says putting his plate down.

"Well my dad left on my birthday and I've never heard since, my first boyfriend cheated on my birthday, i broke my arm on my tenth birthday, my mom was dating my high school teacher and on my sixteenth birthday he tried to give me a really disturbing present; which he's in jail now, and the-" Jesse cuts me off.

"Okay okay, but I'm here now and i promise i can make it better than they were before." Jesse reaches for my hands and kisses them.

I guess nothing could go bad, especially since i have Jesse and Julia with me now.
