Chapter 15

Jesse's p.o.v
"Hey mannn!" Micheal says as soon as i enter through the door.

"Hey." I sit on the couch waiting for Zach.

"Dude, we heard what happened last night." Jeremy says looking at me then back at Micheal.

"Already?! Word fucking travels fast." I look surprised how the fuck do they know.

"Devon told her girls, so of course word travels fast." Brandon butts in.

Zach walks in on his phone "Jesse are you fucking your neighbor?" Jeremy, Micheal, and Brandon all look at shocked.

"How the absolute fuck!" I say.

Zach sits next to me and looks at me surprised "dude i was kidding, i know you and Devon are broken up but are you really?"

Everyone in the room leans in closely. "No, we just hung out yesterday. That's it."

"They fucked." Brandon says and everyone nods and agrees with him.

Aria's p.o.v
"I'm so sorry for being late; i lost track of time." I run inside and tell my boss. 

"You're fine, just don't be late again." He says as he looks up at me from his phone.

I walk in the front and i see Carrie cleaning the tables. "Hey Carrie sorry for being late. Do you need any help?"

"No; we weren't that busy since it's only been about five minutes since we opened. What are you freaking about anyways." Carrie walks towards the counter.

I wrap my apron around my waist and i look up at her "do i look like I'm freaking out?"

"Yes you do. So what is it." Carrie comes behind the counter and drops the wet cloth back into the water bin. All i could think about was why did i have sex with Jesse.

"Nothing serious just walked in on my roommate having sex with her boyfriend." I say acting like it just had happened before i got here.

Carrie starts laughing "we've all walked in on someone before. Worst thing that happened was my brother walked in on me and my girlfriend."

The door opens and i see Devon and her friends walk in. Why the hell does she come here every time; there has to be hundreds of coffee shops here around. The girls sit down and Devon walks up to me. "I need to talk to you."

"For what?" I say with an attitude. Devon rolls her eyes at me "i should be the one giving you attitude, since you're the slut who took Jesse; well temporarily." Devon has some sort of smirk on her face.

"Temporarily?" I ask her looking confused.

"This a regular cycle Jesse and i have, we always fight and then make up, he always has a little slut by his side for fucking when we are broken up. At the end of the day Jesse is Jesse and he will always come back to me. Let that be a reminder." Devon walks away from me and sits with her friends and from the devil she quickly turns into an angel. Is she right though? Jesse does seem like that type of guy and i experienced it from first hand but i thought this time would be different.

Later that night i got home immediately after work and i decided to take a nice warm shower, after about thirty minutes i get out and got comfy in some sweatpants and a tank top. My phone starts ringing as i pick it up i see that it's jesse calling.

"Hello?" I say over the phone.
"Hey aria, i was calling to ask you something."
"Sure what is it?"
"Well, i was thinking we should go on a date Wednesday night?"
"A date?" I could feel myself blushing.
"Yes our first date, dinner and a movie?"
"Yea that sounds great. Does 8 sound good?"
"Yes it does. I'll see you Wednesday?"
"Bye."

I hang up and i start smiling instantly, but also my brain just keeps repeating what Devon said to me earlier. I couldn't keep thinking about that, Jesse probably did change.

Julia knocks on the door and walks inside "so a date?" She plops herself on my bed then she looks and winks at me.

"Why are you eavesdropping?" I say as i sit down next to her.

"Oh honey. You know how thin these walls are. Okay maybe i was eavesdropping a little; so are you gonna ya know." Julia winks at me again.

"Is there something wrong with your eye that you keep winking at me? And no it's just a regular date. No sex or any of that just two people going on a date."

"Sure." Julia says laughing.

"Julia, I'm not going to have sex with him; I'm not a girl you can use just for sex." I snap at Julia with out realizing. Julia blinks at me multiple times taken a little a back.

"Woah someone snapped a little, what's wrong?" She sits up and pats the side of the bed motioning for me to sit down with her.

I sit next to her and tell her what Devon had told me earlier at work. "Devon is probably just trying to get in your head. Jesse broke up with her so now she's mad." Julia tells me. I roll my eyes and plop my back onto the bed thinking. Julia's right. Devon is just mad and jealous that Jesse broke up with her; he told her that he didn't want anything to do with her.

Wednesday night:
Jesse's p.o.v
As I'm getting ready i get a text message from aria; i open up the text message and she's cancelled our date without an excuse. I call aria but she doesn't answer her phone. I start to think of all reasons why she cancelled but maybe she doesn't feel good.

I leave my phone and walk out of my apartment, i walk across and knock on her door, after a couple seconds of waiting aria opens up the door.

"Aria.. you look beautiful." I look at her up and down. Aria has a mini tight black dress on that hugs her curves perfectly, and her hair curled to perfection, with red lipstick on that makes her lips look so tempting.

"Thanks. Look I'm sorry for canceling, after getting dressed i started to feel sick; maybe I'm coming up with a fever." She says holding her stomach.

I raise an eyebrow and look at Julia who's standing behind her shaking her head no. "Aria you don't have to lie to me, if you just don't want to go then tell me."

"No it's not that i don't want to go- it's just Devon had spoken to me at work and said some things that makes me question if i should just even-" i cut aria off before she could finish what she could say.

"Whatever Devon said is out of pure jealousy and are all lies. Yes i made a huge mistake in the past when we had first met, but I'm trying to make a difference." I grab aria's hand and she slowly smiles at me.

"Can we just enjoy our date tonight without talking about people that i clearly want nothing to do with." Aria nods her head at me and smiles. I hold her hand  and we walk out the building together.
