Chapter 2

Your POV

Inushi quickly grabbed the latest comic book of Pokemon in a manga store. He is a very big fan of Pokemon every since the release of the Diamond and Pearl series. He likes it so much that I sometimes caught him cosplaying as Ash.

I stood near the entrance waiting for him to finish. Checking outside, I saw a group of girls looking at the poster of milord the cat. It is said that it was missing, but I couldn't care less. Its not like someone wished from me or something.

"Y/N, I'm finished getting the books." He called me, lining up for payment. I went up to him and get my cash ready. Surprisingly, he only got two comic books. He usually gets around 10 or more. I gave the cashier the payment and went outside with Inushi.

As we exited the store, I saw a girl earlier from the group pushing a guy in some jersey from hitting the truck. Then I saw her soul managed to slip out of her body. ...wait what?? What surprised me the most is that the girl has some kind of tail attached to her soul. Luckily her body wasn't injured.

"What was that just now?!" Inushi asked me. I turned around to see him behind me with a shocked face.

"Say, do you wanna spy on them?" I asked him. He quickly nodded, so we both secretly hid behind the building and spied on them.

The girl was shocked to see her body on the road, then I think she fainted after. The dude just stared at her as the nurses quickly grabbed the girl's body to the ambulance. He then continued walking, but apparently went to where we were. I told Inushi to hide while I jump midair to try scaring him. I landed on a street light and stared at him casually walking like nothing happened.

"Wow, didn't know your that careless." I called to him. He turned to my direction and jumped like some cat. "W-where did you come from?" He asked, his tone a little cracky. I jumped down from the streetlight and walked towards him.

"It doesn't matter, why didn't you help that girl earlier?" I asked, putting both hand on my hips and leaning forward to him. Of course he backed of.

"I'm going to visit her later, don't worry. Plus call me anytime when you need help!" He smiled while handing his calling card to you. You read it as it said 'Delivery God Yato'.

"Huh, never heard of a Yato god before." You said while looking at the calling card. He became white after I said that about him; made me flinched a little. "I may not be famous right now, but I will when I get a shrine of my own." He proudly exclaimed, and I was just there staring at him with confusion. He them startto daydream about his future. Bursting his nine cloud, I just told him that being a delivery god is ridiculous. He looked at me and crossed his arms. "What about you? What's your name?" He asked me with some kind of boasting face.

"Names Y/N, and I'm the god of wishes." I said, while Inushi got out of his hiding spot. He just stared at me with a shocked face and the both of us just looked at him. Awkward silence.

"Um, my name is Inushi, nice to meet you?" My regalia awkwardly held out his hand for a handshake. I suddenly laughed at his way to break the silence. It's just too funny that I can't stop laughing even when my tummy hurts. Inushi on the other hand, hides behind me since he just broke the silence with the weirdest way ever.

Meanwhile Yato just continued starring at us. Let's just say he's really speechless right now. I waved my hand infront of him and snapped my fingers beside his ear. He finally went back to reality after quite a while.

"Sorry, about that. I was just shocked that you're actually a god. Not to mention a popular one." He said to me. "It's okay." I returned back.

"There might be a chance that girl earlier became a half ayakashi." I told the boys as we are jumping from one roof to another so that we can go to the hospital. "Isn't that the book you were reading earlier Y/N?" Inushi asked, holding his comic books tightly so they won't fall.

"But how sure are you?" Yato asked me.

"I read something about half ayakashis earlier. It is said that a human soul is to slip out during random times. When it does, it will have something attached to it's body to represent their soul's life span." The two boys just stared at me with a confused face. "At first I doubt these creatures even exist, but then I saw that girl earlier." I continued.

"Where did you even get that book from?" Your regalia asked you.

"Well, I was bored so I went to Tenjin's place to look for something to read." I said while scratching my head.

It was the middle of the night and the three of us entered the hospital room where the girl stayed. I first entered the room from the window together with my regalia, then followed Yato. "We'll just sit here and wait okay." I told him as the both of us sat on one of the sofas. Yato just nodded.

I then realized Inushi sleeping right beside me, nearly having his head tilted to my shoulder. I chuckled and gently pull his head to my shoulder. Who wouldn't know that I also fell asleep.

I suddenly woke up from a scream of the girl. I also saw Inushi startled with the jumpscare. Like that, the girl ran towards the other sofa in front of us and stood there like some cat. "H-" I quickly shushed Inushi and told him it'll be best of we stay quite for a while.

   "Thanks for that by the way." Yato told the girl." Of course, I don't need help avoiding the bus, but no human tried to save me before." He continued.

   I saw Yato approaching our sofa and stood behind from it. "I don't get it, who are you?" The lady asked.

   "That's easy, I'm a god."
  
   Suddenly the girl grabbed her phone and contacted the police saying there is an intruder pretending to be a god. I don't really know if it's fake or not, but I saw Inushi giggling about it a little. Yato tried to stop the girl from calling the police, and then he said: "I am the god Yato."

   "God Yato?...What are you planning I never heard of that God, never in my whole life." The gal told him. Inushi and I both laughed to tears. The girl then noticed the both of us since we became pretty loud now. "And who are you supposed to be?" She asked us.

   "M-my names Y-Y/N, a-and I-im also a g-god." I told her while trying to control my laughter. She thought for a second and her eyes widened. "Y-Y/N, as in the god of wishes??" She asked me.

   "Correct!" I smiled. "And this is my friend Inushi!" I introduced my trusted regalia to her. After Yato became normal from being white, he told her about his dream of having a shrine and like that. Of course we just ignored him and ask the girl something else. "And what about you? Whats your name?" Inushi asked.

   "Iki Hiyori." She told me.

   "Well I just came here to check on you, seems that your fine so we're even now." Yato told us as he was about to leave the room. "Wait!" Hiyori yelled, but seems like Yato kinda ignored her and left. Hiyori suddenly fell asleep again, which leaves just the two of us in the room awake.

   "So what do we do with this mess?" Inushi asked me. I looked around to see a lot of things scattered on the floor. "What else, clean it of course." I told him as I grabbed the broken pieces on the floor and place them inside the trashcan. Inushi carried Hiyori back to her bed while I searched for a broom. We spent 23 minutes just cleaning the hospital room and fixing the plants. At least we can go back home and get some sleep.

   "Inushi let's go!" I waved at him while putting his jacket on. We exited the room from the window and searched where our shrine is. But an ayakashi spotted us and chased us after. "Smells nice." The ayakashi said.

   "Let's make this quick shall we." I told him as he nodded. "Come Reoki!"

   Inushi turned into a scythe with a pointed blade at the end and a red ribbon attached to the staff. Jumping midair, I flipped Inushi upside down to point the blade at the ayakashi. "This is the land of the rising sun. Your desecration shall not be allowed. I now lay waste on the Reoki, and expell thy viest devilment, rent!" I slashed the ayakashi two times and stabbed him as the final kill. It then bursted and disappeared.

  "Revert, Inu." I said. Inushi went back to his human form and we continued the search. I quickly found our shrine since and quickly went back inside. We both teleported back to Takamagahara and we finally rested.
