I could hear gasps of astonishment and disappointment, whether I was going to open my eyes or not, I don't even know.
To be honest this is my new family, my new life and I'm going to have to deal with them whether they like me or not.
“Ivy. No way," a familiar voice commented.
“No no way," she repeated and that's when I finally opened my eyes.
Jane. The perfect goody-two-shoes had her short skirt and shorter tie, even though we don't wear school uniforms, and just stared.
This can't be happening. It could if been anyone, anyone! But Jane? This has to be the worst day ever. Flint followed her out the crate filled room, yet again without any sign of emotion.
“You know each other?" Someone said from another corner, from the shock of Jane I didn't even realize there were more people here.
“Oh, we know each other," she glared at me and stormed off with her pink heels echoing.
“Sorry she was found yesterday, don't worry, we aren't all like this. I'm North," the Asian looking guy with biceps the size of trucks shook my hand.
“This is Ash," he gestured the guy with a red streak in his hair forward and to be honest I expected an emo kind of personality but I was wrong.
“Hi Ivy, I'm Ash and sorry about Jane she's... Original... Aha but hey, you'll get used to life here," he smiled.
“Thanks,"
“Okay, this is Ever, or Everest," North chuckled at the last part. A skinny guy with nerdy glasses and dark brown hair walked towards me knocking over a crate as he
“Not funny bambi, but I'm Ever nice to meet you," Ever shook my hand and to my surprise he handed me a card and whispered, “You might want this," it was a normal everyday credit card.
“What?" I asked.
“You'll find out later but just keep it for now," he smiled sweetly and sat in the crate which he was on earlier, only to fall off a minute later.
“Okay! So we, Ever Ash Flint and I, are the Finders, we find more of us I guess, not exactly a hard concept. He sat us all down on crates and began explaining things a lot better that Flint did.
“Find who?"
“Um. The humans. Er, so... The world is full of people programmed to believe they are human, they are robots, but everyone your gonna meet today is human so don't worry," North, who seemed a leader in the 'finders', tried to explain but I kind of went into shock.
Flint wasn't kidding.
“Are you okay Ivy?" Ash whispered to me and I nodded unable to speak.
“Alrighty then," North clapped his hands together, “Time for the tour!"
But I couldn't move.
This is crazy, it makes no sense at all! Everything must be real, and how can they prove it? It can't be real, I won't let it. I wanted to scream out for answers, but I was paralyzed, completely stuck.
“Um guys," Ash bit his lip, “She isn't breathing,"
What if I'm going crazy?
