For some reason Gabby was avoiding me. It honestly felt like we were going back and forth-even though we kind of were.

I tried to talk to Gabby in the morning when she was at her locker but she slammed it shut and walked away.

Fuck.

I was risking my own popularity for this girl and she repays me by this?

I was angry. I had no idea what I did to upset her. There was definitely no way she found out about the bet. If only my group of friends knew, then no one else would.

I groaned to myself quietly as I gripped tightly on to the strap of my bag and walked to the second class on the day.

"Sup Hood." Ashton said as he motioned for me to sit in the seat beside him, however, in the corner of my eye I saw a small quiet Gabby slouched over her desk, her chin resting on her hands that were placed on the centre of the wooden table.

"C'mon mate, sit." Ashton pressured. I let out a sigh before replying. "Not today." I slowly dragged my feet over to where Gabby sat and took the spare seat next to her.

"Hey." I said to her while nudging her side slightly.

"Hi." She mumbled, not bothering to move her head to look at me.

As soon as that happened the teacher walked in and started explaining something about math. Gabby was listening intently, but I had to distract her.

"Are you mad at me?" I asked her with my brows furrowed slightly. It was the last thing I needed to be completely honest.

"I'm not." She replied as she finally turned her head slightly and gave me a half smile.

"Okay." I said returning a smile. "Meet me after class?"

"I can't, I have to do homework." She replied shrugging.

And she was at it again, avoiding me.

"Oh." I replied. I had no idea what to say to her anymore.

It was like I was at square 1 again and had to start all over. Whatever I did I knew I fucked up badly, but I was so sure I had done nothing wrong.

Sighing I rested my elbow on the desk and my palm on the side of my face. This class was making me fall asleep, I wish that she's distract, talk to me, look at me, anything. Right now I felt terrible Gabrielle was the reason for my scattered emotions, who would ever think that ever happen right?

I, however, had to sit in class for another 12 minutes and I had not once in this hole lesson had put pen to paper. Sighing once again I turned my head slightly to stare at Gabby. I took in everything. My breath hitched as I noticed a small yet prominent bruise on the side of her jaw, she was trying to hide it with her hair.

"Gabrielle?" I whispered once more.

"What?" She replied not looking up at me, she just continued to keep write the equation in to her math book.

"Nothing." I said deciding to just leave it. I would've been such an asshole if I was to point out her flaws and ask why she had them. She doesn't do it to me, so why should i do it to her?

"You sure?" Gabby asked me finally looking up.

I nodded my head slowly. "Yeah, i'm sure." I gave her a smile and she returned it.

Before i knew it the bell had rung and Gabrielle raced out the classroom, her books were messily in her hand and her bag hanging off one of her shoulders. I took no time in grabbing my bag and chasing after her though. I followed her to the library and frowned. As far as i know she hadn't been here in about a week. As I was about to make my way through the library door I had stopped due to a familiar voice saying my name.

"Calum?" I heard Luke's voice.

I cleared my throat and frowned turning around slightly. "What?" I spat giving him a glare.

"How's your new slut coming along?" Luke smirked. My blood started to boil and I swear my face was turning red at how angry I was.

"Shut the fuck up Luke." I seethed as I shoved him slightly and turned back around before making my way inside of the library.

I frowned when I saw Gabrielle doing work.

Why is she doing work? Why is she not with me?

I walked up to her and tapped her on the shoulder. I was so ready to rant. "Okay, I know you said you weren't mad at me, but I know you are and I have no idea what I did but if I did do something wrong I just want to say that I'm very sorry and that you should be hanging out with me instead of doing work."

Gabby frowned and gave me a slight scowl. "The fact that you don't even know what you did makes me even angrier." After that she slammed her book shut and picked it up and walked off again.

"Fuck." I mumbled following after her.

When I got behind her I grabbed her wrist and made her turn to face me. "I said that I was sorry for what I did and you're walking away from me? I don't understand."

Instead of replying Gabrielle ripped her hand out of my grip and rolled her eyes and kept walking out of the library. I let out the loudest groan, shoved my hands in to my black skin jean pockets and kicked at the ground.

Whatever I had done, I had so fucked up.
