It had been about a year since Order 66. A year since Ahsoka had saved the younglings and padawans at the Jedi Temple. A year since... Anakin... she couldn't bear to think of it. She still had nightmares of his yellow, rage filled eyes, of him threatening to kill her, to kill the younglings. She regretted not bringing him with her, not trying to bring him back to the light.

She shook the thoughts of her past away. She had to be strong, for the children. She was now the 19 year old leader of the new Jedi Order. She didn't really want to call it the "Jedi Order" as she didn't believe in everything the Jedi stood for, they were corrupt and hypocrites, but she knew she had the chance to change that narrative.

She had adjusted a lot of things from the old Jedi Order, starting first and foremost with the "no attachments" rule. Not only because she was in a relationship with Lux, but because she thought that having attachments helped people become better Jedi. She knew that passion and love were emotions that helped Jedi to become stronger.

Another thing she changed was the abolition of the Council. There was no Council of Masters, not only because she was the only person there over 15 (aside from Lux), but because the Council was the most corrupt part of the old order. Instead of having a Council that made decisions, she formed the new order into a type of democracy. Whenever a big decision needed to be made, there was a vote. Everyone that was at least a padawan had a vote. As of now, that wasn't many people, but as they grew, Ahsoka knew it would be essential that everyone have a say.

As for the Order itself, as of now it wasn't much. They had managed to gather almost enough tents for everyone to have their own. The only ones that shared a tent were her and Lux. The tents were arranged in a circle surrounding the campfire pit. They would often use it to cook food, for warmth, or just to sit around and talk and have a good time. Outside the ring of tents were two larger tents. One was the mess hall and kitchen, where they all ate, and stored the food. The other tent was where she convened with the padawans to make important decisions and talk things over.

She walked out of her tent and smiled. The colony was already bustling with activity as everyone was preparing for the days activities. Ahsoka felt two arms wrap around her waist, and turned her head to see her boyfriend.

"Good morning master jedi," Lux said planting a kiss on her lekku.

Ahsoka blushed. "Lux, you know I'm not a master, hell I was never even a knight." She also didn't quite enjoy him calling her a Jedi. Although she technically was, she wasn't one in the original sense of the word.

"To all these kids," he said waving his arm to indicate he was talking about the ones she'd saved, "you are a master. Their master."

Ahsoka smiled. "You're right, but I need to finish my own training somehow. Otherwise I won't be able to teach them everything they need to know." I sighed. "I wish Anakin was here."

Lux didn't say anything, but he grabbed my hand giving it a tight squeeze. "Come one. Breakfast is ready. It was Trayta's turn to make it today."

Ahsoka smiled. Trayta was the best cook in the colony, and every time she made breakfast, it was amazing. She dragged Lux by his hand towards the mess hall. Once they got there, they saw that everyone was there waiting for her. Despite how many times she told them they didn't have to wait for her to eat, they waited for her anyways.

She and Lux headed for the food, and began to serve themselves. After them, the few padawans that were in the colony fell into line, followed by the younglings. They all sat down after serving themselves and dug into the food. Lux had been right, Trayta was the one that cooked it, and it was amazing.

As they finished their breakfast, the young Jedi began to leave the mess hall, and prepare for the days training. Soon, Lux and Ahsoka were the only ones left there.

"So, what are you doing today?" Ahsoka asked Lux. Since he wasn't a Jedi, he din't participate in the training. Although Ahsoka had told him he was a bit force sensitive and she would gladly train him, he was hesitant. Despite his hesitation, Ahsoka had taught him a few force tricks, mainly how to sense people in his surroundings, and how to do things like force push and lift. She also gave him his own lightsaber. It was an exact replica of hers, except instead of a blue or green blade, it was yellow. She thought that suited him better, due to his focus towards learning and protecting.

"I don't know. Probably what I usually do. Maybe I'll stop by and watch a bit of today's lesson, see if I can pick up in a few things." What he usually did was monitor the motion sensors and cameras that were placed around the encampment. They were there to make sure no intruders came, mainly Imperial forces, or if there was someone who had crash landed or something and needed their help. Neither had happened in the year they had been there, but they had to er on the side of caution.

"Alright sounds good. And as always, if you ever want to train to become a Jedi, I'll gladly help you."

"I know, I just don't know if it's my calling you know?"

"I understand completely," Ahsoka said leaning over to kiss his cheek.

The two got up from their table in the mess hall and exited the tent. They turned to each other and shared a short kiss.

"Stay safe Lux," Ahsoka said.

"Aren't I always d'bhem?" Lux replied winking at her.

She smiled off and ran towards the training grounds. It was just a large plot of land where everyone learned how to use the force and lightsaber combat for the older Padawans.

As soon as Ahsoka got there, everyone stopped what they were doing and turned to face her. She stood on the tall rock that she taught from. Here she could get a good view of everyone and make sure they were doing what they were supposed to. The days training was about to begin.

I'm not completely sold on the title of this book, but I needed one to publish it lmao. So if anyone has a better idea for the title, lmk!
