~Xavier's pov~
I walked into the office to meet my dad already seated,Xavier I think it's high time u started making arrangements with Julie as you have seen she could actually be your mate.At the mention of julie my lips curved up in a smile.
Julie was the daughter of the alpha of the second most powerful pack. The royals of course were the most powerful and she always had this kind of attraction to me which I really enjoy.
Suddenly my joy was cut short wen my dad said those next words "and you're getting your slave tomorrow".Father no! You more than anyone else know I don't need a slave. I always end up killing them all. Yes,that's why you need one before Julie comes.Well,your mother and I have decided and that's final. I groaned and left the office in annoyance.How could my parents do that to me.they know my reputation for being the most ruthless alpha is not a rumor. It's true. Once offended,I take the person's life not because it's necessary but I really enjoy it..
My thoughts were interrupted as I entered into my room to meet Julie lying on my bed great just the last person I want to see.
Hey she said I replied her what are you doing here,you never said you were coming . Well I don't think I have to she said, since I came all the way here I think we should have some fun right now. Julie not now you can't just come here anyhow we're nt married I told her but she kept making her way to my jeans so I stormed out angrily.

~Amara's pov~
I got up from my bed and looked at the clock,oh my God it's 7:40am and I was almost late for school so I hurriedly rushed to get a shower and grabbed my clothes. I rushed downstairs to a breakfast waiting for me. I'm a normal student actually 18yrs and to the bad side of that, I just reached the age where girls could be given as slaves to the royal family.
I was in the middle of eating my bacon when mom suddenly shouted "don't forget to pack your bags for tomorrow and choose a nice outfit" I was excited mum are we going on a trip I asked

no the king demanded for all the girls 18 and above which you happen to be part of she said sadly.

I could feel the earth closing up on me as she said those words I just wished it was a bad dream and I was going to wake up but its reality.

I got to school and met Alexa and Jane at my locker.
baby girl where have to you been Alexa said. Alexa and Jane had been my best friends since third grade they were my childhood friends of course.
you guyz heard about the slave thing Jane said...,yes we sadly replied. Not to worry there is only a one percent chance we'll be among the five chosen girls we all cheered up at this and proceeded to our classes for that day and decided to pack our things for the big day ahead of us the next day.
