The next morning , I grab my cell from my pants pocket as I forgot to plug it in before bed, to find ten texts and two calls from Hadley and twenty-five texts and three calls from Sloan. Quickly reading through the texts from Hadley before texting him back and then reading through Sloan's texts with a large grin.

Texting him back with; "Hi, good morning. I fell asleep within an hour of getting home last night and I'm sorry about that. Yes, I think I can hang out today but I have to ask my mum's first. I'm sure you'll have to pick me up from my house and meet them first. Give me a few and I'll ask them."

Sending the message, I climb off my bed, relieve my bursting bladder, wash my hands and teeth and brush my hair before walking to the kitchen where my mum's are; they're sitting at the table drinking coffee as they talk.

"Morning mum and mama," I greet, walking over to the coffee pot and pour myself a cup and adding creamer.

"Morning Briar, how are you feeling this morning?" mama greets back after mum greets me.

"Good, I was wondering if I can hang out with Sloan today after you meet him, of course?"

They stare at me for several seconds before having a silent conversation with their eyes before mum says to me; "Yes but he has to have lunch here before hanging out outside the house."

Instantly grinning at them I say; "Thank you!"

Heading back to my room with my cup of coffee to text Sloan, hoping he agrees. Carefully sitting on the floor with my cup and then grab my phone off the bed texting; "Hey, they said yes but you have to have lunch and meet them today."

He texts back almost immediately; "That's great and what time should I be there and what should I bring?"

"At noon and dessert as I have four younger siblings. See you in three hours!"

Grinning, I toss my phone onto the bed behind me as I drink my coffee, completely amazed that I'm excited about being around someone new. This might be because it will be here at home and with my family."

3 hours later -

There's three firm knocks in the door and I promptly answer it before anyone else does.

"Hi Sloan, you look nice," I compliment - he's wearing black skinny jeans that are tucked into black combat boots and a long-sleeve burgundy shirt that's tucked into his pants and the sleeves are rolled up to his elbows. He looks fantastic with his natural scent and axe body spray.

He grins at me as his eyes rake up and down my body; "You look great, my little beauty."

Blushing at his compliment, I say; "Thank you. Come on in, please."

Stepping back so he can enter, I shut the door behind him and that's when he I notice he's carrying a tub of vanilla ice cream and a small chocolate frosted cake.

He asks showing me the items; "I hope everyone likes these?"

I smile at him as I nod at him as I lead him to the kitchen, so I can place the two items away and say; "Mum and mama, this is Sloan Williams. Sloan, these are my two mum's - Braylen and Bailey Brown."

"Nice to meet you two lovely ladies. Thank you for inviting me to lunch," Sloan politely says with a smile.

"You're welcome and it's nice to meet you, too, Sloan," mum returns with her own smile for her and mama.

"Briar, fetch your brothers and sisters and Sloan, you can help me set the table," mama instructs.

"Yes mama," I say even though I don't want to leave Sloan alone for too long with my mum's - they're going to scare him off.

Gathering my siblings from their rooms quickly - making it back into the kitchen within three minutes, we find the table set with dishes and food.

"Everyone make your plates," mum instructs us.

"Bwiaw , hewp pease?" Ryland asks tugging on my hand.

"Sure Ry," I say placing a square of lasagna on his plate and cut it up for him, which is to my right and Sloan is on my left.

"Sloan, these are my sisters and brothers - Kamari, Kyrie, Tatum and Ryland," I introduce him as I gesture to each sibling.

"Hello," he greets them and this causes my sisters to giggle and Tatum returns the greeting as Ryland whimpers and hides his face in my shoulder.

Swiftly pulling him into my lap, he buried his face into my neck with another small whimper. Rubbing his tiny back, softly saying; "You're okay, Ry, Sloan's my new friend."

"Yike Had?" he inquires against my neck.

"Yup, he's just like Hadley," I assure him with a smile even if he can't see it.

"Pwomise?"

"I promise."

"Otay," he says, so I place him back on his chair.

"So, how old are you?" mum asks getting to the questions right away.

"I just turned 19 years old a month ago, ma'am."

"Please call me Braylen," mum says and Sloan nods in response as he chews his bite.

"Tell is about yourself," mama says to him.

"Well, I have a twin brother named Slater that I'm five minutes older than. I have another three younger brothers and two younger sisters. My brothers and I work and run a club that my family had owned for years. My family plus my best friend and his parents all live in twenty-five acres in our own homes."

"So basically you leave at your own little community?" Kamari asks curiously.

"Yup," Sloan answers with a smile and a nod; everyone but Ryland smiles at Sloan and his answer.

Lunch went better than I expected - my parents and siblings absolutely love him and Sloan and I hung out together outside of the house after dessert and helping clean up after lunch. We went to the beach to watch several solo artist and bands at a free concert. This was awesome and Sloan made sure to have me home by my curfew at 11 p.m.
