Chapter 22

"All in favour of returning to the 1900s?"
Reyna, Hazel, Michael and Lavinia's hands all rose while surprisingly so did Piper and Frank's.
'Pipes are you sure about this?'
Jason raised his eyebrows at her. She nodded.
"But I want to be able to come back. I'd like to split my time between now and Mike's time if that's ok? Also I'd like Jason to be able to come with me."
'As Vee's daughter I can see no reason why not.'
Firebeard then proceeded to pull a control panel out of the helm and turned a few dials.

"Mijo what's say we teach you how to actually use this ship?"
'Weren't you a mechanic?'
"Who do you think build the panels that allow for time travel?"
'Woah mom you're way cooler than I thought you were, and I thought you were pretty damn cool to begin with.' She then showed Leo which dials and switches controlled which time they could choose to go to and how to get them back.

"I am sad to see you stay brother but I am happy you have such a great reason for it. However who will command our ship now?"
'I think I made a suitable choice as my replacement.'
Nico inclined his head toward Frank who started to walk over to him and Hazel.
'Treat him well, I think he will be good for you.'
"And you come visit often!"
They held each other for a bit until Frank reached where they were standing and Nico excused himself with a nod at Frank.

'So, you are coming to our time?' "Yeah, Nico made me an offer I couldn't really refuse. And if it's not too forward I'd really like the chance to get to know you better?"
Hazel leaned up and kissed Frank's cheek.
'That was just forward enough and I  would like that too.'

"So I guess this is the last time I'll see you guys down here, thank goodness!"
Clarisse was looking everywhere but at Reyna and Lavinia.
'We shall miss you too sailor!'
Lavinia hugged Clarisse before she could push her away.
"You should come visit us sometime, I think you could teach us a thing or two about being a tough cookie." Reyna held out her hand for Clarisse to shake and the three girls parted ways with unshed tears in their eyes.

"I hope that was ok?"
Piper was nervously shifting from foot to foot.
'That was incredibly brave of you little sister and I look forward to spending more time with you!' Michael gave Piper a quick hug before shaking Jason's hand.
"Thank you for the advice. Look after my sister!"
'You bet! It was great working with you.'

"So you're really sure you want to give up being a commandant to spend time with little ol' me?"
Leo looked down nervously, fiddling with his hat. Nico stepped forward, lifted Leo's chin and placed his hat back on his head.
'Leo you gave me my dream of being a pirate and searching for treasure! I can think of nobody I would rather spend my time with.'
Leo wrapped his arms around Nico and whispered in his ear.
"Thanks for believing in me when I didn't even believe in myself."
He kissed his temple. Nico whispered back.
'Thank you for giving me somebody to believe in.'
He pulled back to kiss Leo's nose and Leo pulled him into a gentle kiss.
