Y/N walked past the mirror for what seemed like the hundredth time that morning. She still had three hours until her first official day, but that didn't stop her from making sure she was dressed and ready early. Y/n had too much riding on this job to be careless.
The commute was only an hour or so, and she had almost everything ready.
Deciding to take a break from stressing, Y/n set to making herself a quick lunch. After boiling some noodles and cutting some fruit, the girl sat herself at her table. She scrolled through her phone as she ate, checking apps here and there. While she did have social media, it was mostly used for checking in on friends or finding cute things to buy.
Her hand paused for a moment, spotting a post from Jungkook's account. He was seen posing with a black haired male, both of them grinning.
That's odd, all of her friends were Jungkook's friends and vise versa. Why had she never seen this guy before?
Paying it no mind, she clicked the like button and continued scrolling.
She completed her meal, and took to washing the dishes she'd dirtied.
Looking at the clock, Y/n let out a sigh. She still had about two and a half hours before she had to leave. What was she to do now?
She meandered around her house for a minute or two, stopping at the bookshelf in the living room. After a few minutes of perusing her ever-growing collection, Y/n's hand grasped one of her favorite stories; 'Pride and Prejudice.'
She will admit, the story bored her when she was first forced to read it. But picking it back up a few years later, Y/n had realized how complex the plot and characters were (even more so than the vocabulary and dialogue).
Y/n related to each of the characters in a different way, and she slowly felt herself fall in love with the story.
Flipping through the pages, she stopped on a random page and started reading.
Before Y/n realized, the pages on the right side where thinning. The clock read 1:45pm; a perfect time to pause.
The woman grabbed a sticky note, bookmarking her page as she set it down on the couch.
She went through a typical routine check. Hair was tame, breath smelled nice, clothes were in place, and all those sorts of things. Once she was all in order, Y/n set out of her house. The excitement almost overpowered her nerves.
Almost.
No matter how ecstatic she was about passing, the fear of failure loomed over her in a dark sort of way. It made her palms sweat and her heart race. The feeling was uncomfortable to say the least.
But alas, she had to put her feelings aside and focus.
The 45 minute commute seemed to fly by, and before Y/n knew it she was walking through the double doors.
Alex wasn't at the desk, so she headed straight for floor two.
Once she was absolutely sure she had the right office, Y/n knocked.
"Come in," came a curt voice.
With a uneasy sigh, Y/n opened the door. Inside was about four cubicles, two lay side by side, with a small walk space between the other pair.
A man who she recognized as Mr.Kim stood from one of the desks.
"Welcome, Y/n. We're all glad to have you here." He shook her hand and gestured to the two others in the room. Both gave her right smiled before swiveling in their chairs and continuing to work.
