**** Scene Flashes [Keigo] ****

The nightmarish transition of events arose a swirling vortex of emotions in Keigo. The torture and agony of losing his eye was so real, albeit the incident happened 7 years ago.

Keigo blinked. His mind was still in a sedated state as he just woke up from the 10 hours long surgery. There were whitewashed walls around him, and the air of sterilization triggered his olfactory sense. 'I am in a hospital. But why?'

A sharp jolt of pain shot through his head as the recollection of memories set in. 'I was attacked... and almost killed...'

"Keigo, are you awake?" A bell-like voice sounded.

'Kirarin.' Keigo thought as his little sister tiptoed on the side of the hospitable bed, her tiny hands reaching out to intertwine with his. The smile on her face was so reassuring; it dispelled all of his fears.

As he gazed at her relief expression, he realized that something was wrong. Terribly and horribly wrong.

"Why is there a medical patch covering your left eye?" Keigo asked.

Fear set in him once again. 'It's strange. Why? Isn't my eye pierced with the dagger? Why- Why then can I still see so clearly?' Keigo thought, heart racing in uncertainty.

Was everything a dream? No it couldn't be. It seemed so real. The screams, the blood spilling out from my eye socket, the agonizing torment and despair.

'It's real. But how come, how come I could see so clearly?'

A wave of realization set in as he looked at the medical eye patch. 'Don't tell me... Kirarin!'

"Keigo," Kirarin beamed brightly. "How's your eyesight? Can you see me?"

'Kirarin... Kirarin!' Keigo's heart was in turmoil of emotions as he stared at Kirarin.

"Why are you crying, Keigo?" Kirarin asked in concern as she wiped a tear, which had escaped from the corner of Keigo's eye. "Does your eye still hurt?"

'It's not my eye that hurts... It's my heart. Kirarin, why?' Keigo felt a lump in his throat.

"Why- Why did you give me your eye?" Keigo choked.

"Why? Because I love you." Kirarin answered without hesitation, with a dazzling smile that was filled with warmth. "I don't want you to be dejected." Her voice was so gentle and her words were filled with so much sincerity that it touched Keigo's heart and soul.

"Ah, but daddy and mommy say that no guy would want to marry me..." Kirarin's expression turned crestfallen, before she gave a bittersweet smile.

"But that's okay, Keigo is enough for me. I'll be happy as long as you're by my side. You won't leave me right, Keigo?" Kirarin asked as she gazed expectantly at him, though her voice was wavering with a little uncertainty.

"I won't. I promise you. I will never leave you. If no guy wants to marry you, I'll marry you. I'll take you as my bride." Keigo avowed genuinely.

"But it's not possible, we're siblings." Kirarin scrunched her eyebrows as she looked at Keigo with a muddled expression.

"I don't give a damn! I love you Kirarin, I'll make you my bride."

*********************************

A/N: Just in case some of you are confused, Keigo & Kirarin are having the same nightmare. They are seeing the same flashes of memories, which happened when they were young, which they've locked in their heart.

All the scenes are revealed by the omniscient narrator (myself), but in the previous 2 chapts, I was narrating the events while looking into Kirarin's mind, the memories in her nightmare. Whereas in tis chapt, I was narrating the events while looking into Keigo's mind.

It is important to note that all the scenes exist in the nightmare, which they shared. It's jus the different point of view that I adopt in writing.

Pls comment if you find tis explanation confusing! Pls vote/ comment if you lyk tis chapt!
