“What took you so long?” Marui Bunta asked Niou when he arrived at the rooftop garden, where the tennis regulars were all gathered to have their lunch.

“Why is your face so red, Niou-senpai?” Kirihara asked.

“The usual, some PMS bitch threw her temper on me~” Niou waved it off as he took his usual seat between Yagyuu and Marui.

“Someone caught your fancy, Niou-kun?” his partner asked while pushing up his glasses. Niou was too easy to read, especially after being his doubles partner for 2 years.

“Who is it this time round?” Marui asked excitedly.

“Nah~ just some random girl~” Niou shrugged.

“80% probability that Niou’s referring to Kira Rin, the Vice-President of the Discipline Committee, who just saved him from being expelled out of the school.” Yanagi stated.

“EHH? Expelled? How come?” The tennis regulars were wide-eyed at the news.

Even Yukimura and Sanada were listening in the conversation.

As the Captain of the Tennis Team, the matter was of grave importance, especially when it concerned one of the tennis regular in his team. ‘It would be devastating if Niou were to be expelled. No one will be able to replace his skills, and this must not happen, for Rikkai will be the one to claim the National Championships.’

As for Sanada, his curiosity was piqued when Yanagi mentioned Kira Rin, for she was his partner, they worked well together as both were well-organized in filing the documents, but other than that, both of them were the silent type, and he didn’t get to know much about her, not that he cared about her anyway. He’s just… curious.

While Yanagi was elaborating on the incident based on the information that he had collected, the tennis regulars were listening attentively, except for Niou who just bobbed his head now and then to acknowledge what Yanagi said.

His mind couldn’t help but drift to the girl. ‘Kira Rin, that’s her name huh? I want to know more about her.

“Isn’t she the one who’s always walking around with an expressionless face and her fringe covering her eye? The really ugly girl?” Marui asked casually while chewing on his green apple bubble gum.

“That’s rude, Bunta.” Jackal chided lightly.

“What?! I’m right, aren’t I? Don’t you guys think that she’s ugly too? Don’t you, Jackal?” Marui asked heatedly.

“Oh! Is she the one with the really long skirt and geeky specs? The girls in my class are always making fun of her fashion sense.” Kirihara exclaimed.

“Yeah you see! Even Akaya says so. I bet she doesn’t have a boyfriend. I mean, who will like that type of girl? She’s so not sexy and all~ and come on, she doesn’t even smile!”
