It's been better these days... much much better than the first week which I mostly spent missing him and maybe cried a little. Geez! What have you done to me Amaan?! I hugged the shirt one more time before folding it. I had snuck one of his blue shirts out when he was not around. I really don't know what possessed me to do that but I somehow convinced myself that this might help when he's not and surprisingly it has. Now I understand the women in those movies and soaps, I always thought it was crazy and creepy to be sniffing someone's cloths. Absolutely not!! "Diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii" Anna's whine brought me out of my thoughts and I quickly placed the shirt in the cupboard. She took in my sneaky action and smirked. "Ooooo missing bhayya haaaaann!?" She cooed. "What?! Are you mad?" I dismissed her, scrunching up my face. "I know you won't admit but I have a plan" she said and I leaned in with interest earning a smirk from her. "Ahem ahem... so lets go out!" She suggested excitedly. "That's it?" I asked disappointed, how is that gonna help my sorrow . "What? I'm sooo bored and you'll get a chance to take your mind off of things or a certain someone. It's a perfect idea" she stated as a matter of fact. "I don't know Anna ...." I trailed off unsure to which she pouted. " acha teekh hai but maybe not today. And stop looking so cute yaar" I said pinching her cheeks. "Acha.. so aaj ice cream and tomorrow trip and don't worry I'll convince everyone" she shouted as she danced away before I could argue. Uff yeh ladki! Crazy just like her brother! Amaan......"Kya baath hai... smiling and all ..." ammi startled me as she entered my room and I realised that I was smiling . "just keep that smile on your face always ... meri bachi" she cooed, caressing my cheek. "Amaan called?" She asked as she placed my clothes which she brought on my bed while I started folding them. I nodded a 'no' slightly disappointed. I'm not angry or sad and I don't want to be talking to him twenty four seven; just that it's been three days and I'm a bit anxious about his well-being. "Must be busy beta. Don't worry much" she reassured. "Everything... um... everything's fine between you two right.. I mean I see that you guys are getting along but you know...Um..everything's fine right?" She cautiously enquired, waiting for my reaction. She always gave me that space I needed but she very well know how much I didn't want this marriage to happen. "Haan ammi... everything's fine don't. Worry." I reassured. hugging her. "Choti I know you didn't want to get married and that too Amaan se par trust me beta... he is the best for you... he had always been caring for you and you always had a special bond with him bachpan se.. it's just that you both had a weird way of expressing it. We all just took it as your childishness and we were right. We can all see how things are falling into place and how that childishness, bickers... the pranks..that... that bond of yours is now being moulded into a more beautiful, mature relationship. And I'm sure you two will realise it yourself soon" resting my head on her lap, I listened to her as she continued. "Yaad hai? Your guitar lessons?  You were ten when we all came down here for summer vacation and if I remember right, it was the first get-together  since everyone moved out. And boy, you had like an entire speech of how bored you are of being apart from everyone. My my... you really were a chatter box back then" ammi laughed, her eyes twinkled as she reminisced old memories. "The next day when we were out shopping Amaan threw a fit asking Sulekha babhi to buy you a guitar. I still remember... he was so adamant.. always been so about you especially " she sighed, smiling. "And?" I asked eagerly as she didn't speak for sometime. "And? You don't remember? He introduced you to your first guitar and tried teaching you though he doesn't know how to play and whenever you whined and threw a fit about how you can't play he would always say in his boy voice 'Sameera! Don't be stupid! I know you are stupid but now you are being more stupid. Just learn it and play it else you would be bored again when you are alone and I swear I don't want to listen to your boring speech about how boring your life is'. He always called you Sameera... I wonder why.. Chal teekh hai... my curry should be burning by now" she abruptly stopped and rushed downstairs but my mind was still stuck in my memory lane. Ammi is right he never called me  'Sam' like my friends or 'Choti' like my family... it's always 'Sameera'. I vaguely remember his young self explaining 'arre yeh hamesha choti thodi na rahegi.. it would be stupid calling her 'choti' when she becomes badi and boodi ' and then he bursted out into a evil laugh making me scowl and launch at him or maybe pull his hair. I laughed more as I recalled more such memories of little me and even more of little Amaan.
