Hello again! In this chapter we will get to meet Dylan but we still don't see much of him. I promise the next chapter will include alot more Dylan. Enjoy.

"Elsie!" Exclaimed my Gran as she opened the door to her house "Hi, Gran." I said, just wanting to go to bed. It was about midnight now and I had been travelling for more than 7 hours. "I'm suprised you are still awake." I said as she gestured for me to go inside. "Well you know your Grandma, I like to party all night long!" She chuckled and I joined in "Do you want to see your bedroom? I expect you will be tired." I nodded and so we headed upstairs.

My Gran's house is pretty big so we headed up another flight of stairs before finally stopping. "Well, this is it!" She said, excitedly. I looked around. Not too shabby, I thought. It was huge! I had the whole third floor to myself. "Thanks, Grandma." I said, running over to hug her. "You are very welcome. You deserve the best when you have a mom like Susan... Anyway, I'll go get your bags." I smiled at her as she left and went over to sit on the bed. She had decorated the room with a New York City theme. The bed covers had a black and white image of the empire state on and one of the walls had a picture of the skyline. There was a picture on my desk of a yellow cab. I smiled to myself. Things were looking up already.

Gran came in the room carrying my suitcase. "Thanks." "You're welcome, now you get some rest." She said as she left the room, closing the door behind her. I unzipped my suitcase and grabbed some underwear and a hoodie from the top. I put them on and climbed into bed. Finally allowing myself to relax. I sighed and then drifted off to sleep.

The smell of bacon woke me up. I rolled out of bed and put on a pair of sweats before heading downstairs. "Morning, Grandma." I said as I entered the kitchen. "Morning sweetie. I'll make you some breakfast. How about some bacon?" She smiled. "Sure." I said, plopping down onto one of the chairs in the sitting area. "So, today," She began "I thought you could go and explore your new town. I've left some money on the side and since it's nearly Christmas, why don't you go and buy yourself something nice?" I grinned at her and then my eyes flickered down to where the money was on the counter. Wow. That was a lot of money. "Thanks so much Grandma!" I almost screamed, running over to hug her.

After getting dressed, I headed outside, wrapped up in a huge scarf and coat to try to keep warm. It was winter time in Canada and a snow storm could hit at any moment so I wanted to be prepared. I could feel the large wad of money in my pocket as I walked and I began to wonder what I might spend it on.

At about 6pm, I retured home with bags full of new clothes. "Nice to see you spent all the money." laughed my Grandma as she opened the door and ushered me inside. I dumped the bags in the hall and headed through to the kitchen to grab a drink. When I walked inside, I saw one of my cousins, Tyler, sat with two other guys. "Elsie!" he ran over and gave me a big bear hug. Tyler was one of the only members of my family from Canada who came to visit me and my mom in New York, so I knew him pretty well. "Anyway," he said "this is Allessio and Dylan." I looked around at them and saw that I recognised the one who was supposedly Dylan. "You were on Once Upon A Time!" I said, slightly louder that I expected. My hand quickly flew to cover my mouth and I shyly glanced at Dylan again. "Yeah." he laughed "I heard you're from New York." I nodded. "He couldn't wait to meet you once I showed him what you looked like!" Taunted Ty. "Stop it, bro." said Dylan, looking slightly flustered. I realised I was starting to blush and decided I better leave before this situation got any more awkward. "Alright, I'm going upstairs." I said, starting to walk away when I heard Ty shout "Wait!" I stopped and turned around. "We were thinking of going to the cinema tomorrow to see this new movie that Dylan is in. Do you want to come with us?" Asked Tyler. "Hm, maybe. I'll think about it. I still have stuff to unpack." I replied. "Well if you decide you want to come, text me." I nodded at him and headed upstairs.

I sat on my bed, looking out of the window as I watched the guys leave. Suprisingly, I saw Dylan walk into the house opposite mine and as I watched him, I realised he was actually pretty cute. Maybe I should go to the cinema tomorrow. I stared a the phone on my lap and decided I was going to go. I mean, I wasn't starting school until after the holidays so maybe making a few friends now would help. I texted Tyler.
