{Amelia's POV}
"Hey have you perhaps seen Bran ?".
I've been looking for him the whole morning. After I woke up I decided to meet him and ask him for help on the planning but I didn't find him in his tent neither did I find him at the training grounds. That was unusual because he was usually there every morning. I had asked some of the trainees in the grounds but none of them knew of his whereabouts. "Excuse me, have you perhaps seen Bran?" I asked a healer passing by, Layla, her name was Layla and she was an apprentice healer working with Agnes. "Umm actually yes, I spotted him near the return gates" she said turning around and abruptly leaving, she was really in a hurry...I wonder why. "Thank you" I said to her retreating figure and she quickly turned back and shouted a 'your welcome' before speeding away.
I got to the rescue gates and was utterly overwhelmed by what I saw and smelt. Rescuers were rushing in with injured people like a gushing waterfall and the whole area was terribly stinking. Different people were being rushed to the healer's tents, it was seriously alarming. I saw various of my people lying down unconscious or brutally injured, they were piling up.
I spotted Bran on the opposite side along with Two group leaders Blake and Sophia. They were helping the rescuers coming down. "Bran what's going on?" I said walking up to him. Of course I knew what was going on but the velocity of the situation alarmed me so much that I couldn't form proper words to say.
"Unusual activity Amelia, you were right, something is wrong" he looked really worried and there were worry lines on his forehead. "Rescuers have been coming down with numerous people some time after they went up, we had to send more up there to help with the people. "They said that they found numerous slaves dumped by the garbage areas unattended to and left to die, we have never had numbers like this and our healers are not enough" he raked his hand through his sweaty hair and let out a sigh "Amelia we need a plan now" he said and looked at me, worry obviously etched in his eyes.
