Jesse's POV:

I walked down the hall with my brother, Jordan to the cafeteria. Although I didn't know why. I rarely ate lunch at school and as much as I love my friends, all they talk about is their girlfriends, their dick size, and how many kills they got in their last game. But as always, I walked behind Jordan to the very last table of the lunchroom and sat in between my two best friends. JJ Porter, high school football legend. Star quarterback on Lewis' varsity football team, starting since freshman year. He's a smart guy, but he's completely obsessed with how freaky his girlfriend, Sienna Log, is. But I mean, I don't blame him. She's the hottest girl to ever step foot in this shitty high school. If I had her, I'd brag too.

My other best friend, Karson Kook. Baseball legend. He's been Lewis' starting pitcher since he was in the 6th grade. Coach went out to one of the baseball games he was pitching in and told him if he stayed in Lewisville, he'd have a starting spot the day training started his freshman year. I've never seen anyone as good as Karson. He's got a full ride to Florida on Baseball and Academics since sophomore year. He's so focused on baseball and his grades he doesn't have time for a girlfriend, he likes to say. Although, he always flirting with some girl in the hall. He's gonna go pro one day. My money's on the New York Yankees or maybe the Houston Astros.

Across from me sat my brother, Jordan. He played basketball and was the complete opposite of me. As if to fit in with the other boys at our table, Jordan's Lewis' number one basketball player to ever hit the court. He's a center forward and has been a starter on varsity since he was a sophomore. He worked his ass off for that spot and he deserves it. He's like me in the idea of schooling. All honors courses. All A's. But that's where the similarities stop. He's the golden boy in high school. Everyone's best friend. Super kind and loving. Every fangirl's dream. Kinda sucks for them though. He's got a girlfriend. She goes to our rival school: Hayden High. When I say our school is very competitive, well, one time we kidnapped a horse. But no one hates Hayden High more than Jordan's best friend, Jackson Elliot.

Jackson Elliot: All-star triathlete. Cross country, track, and swimming. Varsity, if you couldn't guess by everyone sitting at our table. He was the number one runner at the XC nationals in 2019. Name anything in track, he can do it. Hurdles, mile, 2 miles, shot putt, triple jump, high jump, the list goes on and on. Not to mention his swimming skills. Number one qualifier in the state for the 500 Freestyle, the 200 IM, the 100 Butterfly, the 100 Breaststroke, and the 50 Freestyle. Man's a G-O-D. He's the most competitive guy I know. He kidnapped the horse.

Next to him, his slutty little girlfriend, April Lee. I didn't know much about her. Just that they were always fighting and breaking up and then getting back together. She'd slept with just about the whole school. I'm not complaining though, she's kind of a freak in the sheets. She's a cheerleader, I think. I can't stand Jackson so I try not to talk to him.

I guess that leaves me. Not much to me though. Other than my brother and my two best friends, I'm kind of a loner. People irritate me so I avoid them when I can. I do my work when and if I want to, but manage good grades. All honors and all A's like I said before. No girlfriend, but like the rest of us, I flirt every now and then. As much as I hate the stereotypes of jocks, that was my "friend group." Star football player, legendary, high school baseball player, and me: the best lacrosse player on our Varsity team as you would've guessed. At least I was.. until I got hurt.
