"Y/n, wake up" I felt a light, gentle tap on my shoulder causing me to slowly open my eyes

"Joon would like to see you"

"Detective Kim is awake?" I say jumping up from my seat. Sunmi nods in response & without another word, I exit the waiting room and rush to his room

There I was, standing in front of his hospital room like some creep. The door was open but not wide enough for him to see if anyone was standing there. I was about to move when I heard a deep raspy voice coming from inside Detective Kim's room

"So are you coming in or are you gonna stand there all day like some creep?" Namjoon says causing me to jump a little

"You can see me?" I ask

"I wouldn't have said that if that wasn't the case. Are you going to come in or not?"

"Right, sorry" I crack the door open, and I walk into the room to the sight of Namjoon lying in his hospital bed. His hair was somewhat messy and he was bruised nothing too brutally but I wasn't used to seeing him in such a vulnerable state

"Come closer, I don't bite" he jokes

"What happened?" I asked walking closer to him

"Mingyu. . . Uh I let him escape"

"YOU WHAT?!" My eyes widen

"Ah" he lets out a groan "can you? I have a nasty  headache" he wines

"Right, I'm sorry," I say taking a seat next to his hospital bed

"It wasn't on purpose at all. I would never put your life in jeopardy. To be honest with you, I'm not even sure how it happened. I had it all under control and suddenly everything felt like it happened so fast for me to process " he lets out a deep sigh before continuing, "Before I knew it, I was on the floor being pinned down by Mingyu. Getting my shit rocked by some weird psycho who has a weird obsession with you was humbling I'll tell you that" he lets out a soft laugh

"And this all happened when Yoongi was driving me to the police station, correct?"

"Relax, I can sense how tensed you are. This isn't your fault so don't go around blaming yourself that you had no control over plus I was feeling egotistic thinking I could take this psycho who killed 6 women that we currently know of. Who knows how many more he's killed and got away with"
