YOU SAY I SAY-music video {6/31/18}
-------
The camera shows a pretty girl looking down at her phone with a bittersweet smile. The phone shows a picture of a good looking guy about the same age. She sighs and walks over to her desk and pulls out a red leather worn down the journal. She starts reading an entry that states Don't get attached to anyone and Vice versa. It always ends up tragic. This sentence will cause the female to flinch before setting it down. She will say, "you say its magic, but I say its tragic." Right after she says this, the camera will go out of focus, and the image will fade into a new one.

The image is of the same girl with the guy, and she's flirting with him. He leans in close and says, "it's magic." The girl's once mischievous and flirty attitude changed to a colder and more distant one as she says, "no, it's tragic." And the song starts now.

You say it's magic; I say it's tragic

(The girl pushed the boy away and said it right to his face. She's singing it)

You say there's hope, I say nope

(The girl points the finger to the boy's chest as if to scold him. He grabs her hand gently and says there's hope. She responds with the lyric.)

You say let's give us a try; I say let's give our goodbyes

(goes back and forth. He tries to hold her hand romantically, but she rips it away. She sings the lyric before walking off.)

You say we belong; I say you're wrong

(he goes after her and blocks her path slightly before saying "we belong," but she doesn't listen and walks around him before turning and singing.)

The camera follows the girl. She appears to be on the roof of a building. She looks out on the scenes before flashes of memories happen.

Love at first is a lie; I won't be fooled but good try

Images of the two holding hands and standing next to each other, just looking at the night sky. They both look so peaceful, but the girl never lets things get too emotional, but she's okay with physical contact. When the boy makes a move to kiss her temple, she moves away.

Soulmates aren't real they're a fairytale myth; I won't live a fantasy world it's filled with filth

A look of hurt flashes on the boy's face. The girls face hidden away from view.

(But then the girl's face was shown. As the lyrics played -insert- /down below/ a single tear falls and runs down the girl's cheek before she wipes it away.)

I believed in love, but love didn't believe in me

The Flashbacks stop, and the camera is focused on the present. The main focus is on the girl's expression as she stares at the space where the memory took place. She was leaning on a wall but then slowly slides down and sits down with her knees to her chest. During this entire thing, the song had been playing in the background, but it was the only sound.

The girl lifts her head before singing.

You don't know what I say inside my head

(the girl slowly stands up before continuing)

I don't want you to be mislead

(the girl is now leaning against the railing and looking straight with a hint of sadness as she sings. -insert-)

You don't know how I want to say you're mine
I don't want you to be hurt, so it's fine
You don't know what you're doing
