Another New Chapter.

"Hi Mamma" Avni greeted her mother, she is back home, she is on the way strutting to her room upstairs crossing the hallway where Neela was there sitting in the couch watching her favourite TV show. Hearing her daughter's voice her shoulder startled, her visage appeared bizzarelly dazed like someone pulled her out from a reverie she was in.

"Mamma are you alright!" Avni felt worried, took a step forward and paused in the middle. She has just come home from the hospital. Without a proper wash up she never lounge around. So she didn't move closer to Neela.

"Is that Aman, you dropped home!" She asked, straightened her face, looked at Avni. Her expression held a bit gravel and her stance firm. That earned Avni meticulously furrowed her brows, got fixed at her mother.

"Yyyeah Mamma" her voice feeble, her answer was less reply and more cross examining her mother's face. Her disoriented gaze brought Neela looked back on the TV screen and she heaved a sigh crossing her arms over her chest.

"Mamma I talked to SwetaMom.... don't worry she is alright now" Avni stated, an assuring smile glowered on her face and Neela quirked her eyes, her gaze creased for few seconds set upon her daughter then smoothened and she again looked away. Her gaze went back to the television screen.

"Where you found Aman!" All of a sudden Neela barged, her eyes still on the screen. When there wasn't any reply came from her daughter, she peered back to Avni.

On the other side her words cause Avni jumped her gaze, her heart skipped at the sudden querrisome gapes her mother threw at her.

Her mind was mulling over to find a convincing reply to utter, so that she could escape her mother's further confrontations.
It's not the right time, everything couldn't be transpired soon. She can't say that she picked Aman from his office. If she will then hundreds of questions would arise like what made her go to their office and many more. Whereas everyone knows that to hide one truth no one ever succeeded without creating some huge bunch of lies instead and slips later into their self made grave to get over it.

"Mamma actually..." Her tone faltered, she fiddled with her fingers, gulped twice. She is always bad in making stories. Her glances furtively over her mother.

"Go and freshen up....are you hungry!" Neela made a straight face, her expression unreadable. It's impossible to fathom at the moment what exactly is going on in her mind.

"Huh!!" their gaze met. Avni looked bemused, she hasn't expected this sudden direction flip of the conversation from her Mamma. She felt a bit relief inside but her face remained unfazed.

"Are you hungry..." She reiterated, her voice soft.

It was clear that Neela want to drop the conversation here. Avni was in huge puzzle, should she feel relaxed or there is something to worry about.  She is quite sure there was something different today with her mother's behaviour. A hint of imperceptible outrage Avni didn't miss on her mother's visage while talking to her. There something awry.
Avni didn't dare to access her mother demeanor a second more, nodding no she moved, ambled towards the stairs to get into her room with a befuddled heart.

Sweta

"Chal ab gussa thuk de" Bebe said put her hand softly on mine whereas I gently pulled away from her hold.
I cast a glance, saw Neil's frown over me. He is sitting just opposite to me on the seat across the dinning table. Bebe on the seat on my left at the centre and Aman on my right, Prakashji is next to Neil on the same row.

Dinner was served we just gathered less than a minute before in the dinning hall.
Boys all changed into casuals and got their seats for the dinner and I started filling food on their plates.
