Chapter 16: Warm Welcome

[ Levi's POV ]

Long story short, shitty things happened and will happen. That's it. Don't wanna do storytelling for y'all. *groans*

*he's just kidding😉*

Glad that I have recharged properly yesterday. It boosted me to supervise things suitably. I was thinking of doing it furthermore. Perhaps a little bit extra? You guys know how I feel about it but Al thinks she's still a fucking teenager that's why we still can't do it.

It's fine though, I understand and respect her. I do reckon she knows best. She always does. I'll patiently wait for the day to come. The day where she can be entirely mine. Exclusively.

Now, this coming afternoon there will be horses arriving for delivery. Also some new scouts from various districts. Not curious about any of them. I'm bored of educating brats like Eren.

Commander Erwin is also coming back from wall Sheena. I didn't honestly think he would find a way out. I nearly forgot he's gone for weeks because all his damn paperwork touched down my desk for straight weeks. I still feel kinda wasted although I'm used to drowsing for only 2-3 hours a day.

Pretty impressive right? I don't even know how and why I'm still alive at this point...

Sure sucks for someone with no friends and family to call anymore.

No worries though, I still have Alyana to live for.

[ Hanji's POV ]

I heard Erwin is coming back this afternoon. Damn how I missed his thick brows! Should I prepare banners for him? How about a welcome party? Or should I give him one of my cutest titans!? How 'bout that? Nah, probably not. He wouldn't appreciate it.

Ugh! I still remember those times where I almost assassinated myself because of his works. Gives me shivers. All of us looked tired and yet here we are, in front of the HQ, standing under the sun and waiting for his comeback.

Can't wait to punch him real good when he comes and get my revenge!

By the time he arrives all of the scouts including squad Levi and the other staff of HQ warmly welcomed the long-lost commander. They hugged him and greeted his arrival. Alyana and Levi are together in a corner, watching everyone get stupid like it's their first time seeing him.

His brows got thin, I wonder why?

After a few seconds, behind him, a man wearing a military suit and a coat the same as ours with a different logo knitted in it. A Captain? A soldier from wall Sheena? Maybe that person is also one of the guards who help took Erwin back.

The man stood down the carriage and there we saw him. Forming a big smile on his complexion like his face was about to rip off. His body was well-groomed. Unlike me who doesn't even bother taking a bath. I look and smell like dog shit. Goddamit.

Not many muscles were in his body and he looked so young. He has a bandage wrapped around his neck and arms. His hair is black and his eyes were bright red. They were quite creepy but to be honest? It enhances his exterior manifestation to make his appearance even more interesting.

"Hey, Erwin! Welcome back! How's it going?" I came strolling to where the commander and the young man were standing. Greeting and saluting to the scouts who waited long for his arrival.

"Nothing much. Is the HQ doing fine?" He asked.

"Yup! I took care of everything in here while you were away."

"Thank you, hange. I'll grant you one day-off for your hard work and kindness." He pats my left shoulder. I did appreciate his offer but it was not what I wanted so I came closer to his ears only to confess to him these words,

"I prefer an additional salary for the next 3 months, Commander." I wiggled the improperly groomed brows that I have and winked at him.

"How about a no?" A grin formed on his face, before tapping my left shoulder for the last time eventually abandoning me.

"Hey! That's unfair- oh hi there gorgeous, you look wealthy. Well, are you though?" I saw the good-looking man standing beside the carriage and asked without hesitation whatsoever even if I don't know him yet.

"Uhm, why do you ask?" He giggled shyly.

"I feel like I'm gonna be jobless in no time. You're my kind of species so marry me and support my finances."

I said it too pronto but it was surely understandable, making the guy tilt his head in confusion but cackled afterward.

"Why you laughing? I'm dead serious!" I said with an 'Hmp' at the end of my sentences.

"Sorry, but you see? I am engaged with someone already." He flashed a smile at whatever you call this fucked up complexion of mine.

"Well, then it only means that you have chosen the wrong one. I feel bad for ya'. You blind or something? "

"My fiancee is drop-dead gorgeous and kind. I am curtain that I have chosen the right one." He answered back with a smile.

"Yeah yeah alright, so kidding aside. What's your name?" I asked the greyed hair man.

"My name is Kousuke. Kousuke Fritz."

"SAY WHUT!?" I yelled in surprise.

"You're from the royal family!?" I added.

"Yes. I'm the second son of King Karl Fritz." He declared openly.

Oh, I fucked up...

"Your highness!" I quickly got on one knee, placing my closed fist on the upper part of my right chest, and lowered my head as intense as I could.

"You don't have to bow down, you can stand up." He said nicely and calmly while looking around to see if anyone heard or saw what was happening.

Of course, they did.

Now, the scouts are murmuring in confusion. They were wondering what was happening and why is Hange Zoè, the intelligent scientist of the wall rose is kneeling in front of an elegant man.

"My apologies, your Highness! I was rude to you a while ago! I'll gladly take any punishment you would bestow me!" I said to the second son of King Fritz. Mentally slapping my face in embarrassment and disgrace.

I admit guilt for disturbing and annoying him. Teasing someone whenever I feel stressed and aggravated keeps me entertained and forget about all my burdens. Don't blame me, It was all Erwin's fault!

"No, it's fine. Really." He said, sounding a little uncomfortable because of the commotion that I caused, resulting to get the attention of the soldiers around us.

I hope the ground just eats me...
