the tension between santana and delilah was painfully obvious, quinn stook by delilah's side through every sleepless night, every breakdown, panic attack, everything. despite hating santana for everything she put her best friend to, she understood. santana had built walls, she put on a 'bitchy' facade so people wouldn't mess with her. she was scared at how quickly the blonde could destroy years of hard work by simply smiling or laughing. she loved delilah, but she didn't love the fact that she wasn't supposed too. santana thought pushing the blonde away would make her feelings go away, but they only grew stronger whenever she saw her close with someone else.
alongside this, delilah had, as quinn would say, gone back to her 'bad phase' like first two months after the accident, she blamed herself for what santana was doing, but it wasn't her fault. delilah didn't listen to that however, sanatana wished she knew how much it was breaking her inside, but she had to do it. she was santana fucking lopez, she didn't care about people's feelings, she didn't care. delilah didn't talk, she barely looked at anyone. she only lifted her eyes from the ground when she was cheering at cheerio practise, or listening to quinn.
"so any ideas for the mash-up?" mr schue asked, everyone stayed silent as delilah focused her eyes on a pattern on the floor, her hand locked with quinn's. "anybody?" he asked, before puck raised his hand. "i've been working on something,it's my personal tribute to a musical jewish icon," he said, looking at rachel.
rachel and delilah had formed a somewhat 'friendship' since she helped ther girl with her first 'slushie facial'. it turned out that even though slushie girl was possibly the most annoying and arrogant person she had ever met, she was actually quite sweet. "uh, fantastic, let's hear it," mr schue said as he sung sweet caroline for the glee club. delilah couldn't help but notice the small smile rachel had.

"you know, i really think this is working, i think we look super cool," finn said as he, quinn and delilah walked through the corridors wearing sunglasses. delilah didn't understand how she could go from being bullied to her old status by wearing sunglasses, but she wasn't going to refuse the free accessory from finn. "i'm proud of you, finn, and lilah, you're amazing, i'm proud of us," she said, continuing along the corridor, delilah focusing her eyes on the floor and following her friends feet so she would go the right way. "yeah, there's nothing wrong with wanting to be popular, it just means you want people to like you, i think that's healthy," finn said, it almost sounded like he was trying to convince himself. "i totally agree, delilah?" finn said and the blonde nodded her head in agreement. "being popular just means you can have it all," finn continued as they saw several football players approach them.
delilah's anxiety rose high, knowing what was about to come, a slushie facial. "oh, hey, guys," finn said confidently, not sensing the whole situation. "you thirsty?" an annoying football paly, azimo askes as finn nods his head before they all swing the slushies into the trios faces. the ice and corn syrup stung their eyes. delilah quickly shook the red ice out of her hair, thankful the sunglasses gave her some sort of protection. she quickly caught a certain latina's eyes, making her tears flow more freely, again grateful for the sunglasses shield.
"delilah," rachel said, grabbing her hand. "i got you," she said, dragging her and quinn into the bathroom. "oh, you think that's bad? just imagine what's gonna happen if you don't show up to practice on thursday," she caught a football player say to finn as they were getting the slushie off them.
"here," rachel said, handing her and quinn a towel to share, "you might want to start bringing spare clothes to school," rachel said, with a soft smile. the two blondes were left shocked at how their 'it-girl' status had faded all thanks to one thing. quinn's being a baby and delilah's being her sexuallity.
